Luna Twilight "Rosalie" Palette...

...is utter crap. The blush is good. That's about it.

Review done.

HAH! Can't leave it unfinished!

Apparently these are made by DuWop. I saw these in the store a month ago and thought the Rosalie palette looked like the only palette I'd try. I don't give a crap for the "Twilight" theme. I didn't like the books, never watched the movies, really don't care, but that blush pulled me in.

Descriptions yoinked from Twilight Beauty site (didn't know such a site existed until yesterday):

The crowning jewels of the Luna Twilight collection are found in these four kits, reflecting the mood and spirit of the iconic female characters from the Twilight saga, bringing together a harmonious collection for lips, cheeks and eyes.

Four palettes available:

Bella – Soft and Subtle with nude shadows, warm nude blush, nude lipstick and the sheerest cherry red gloss. (MY WORDS, BORING)

Victoria – Bold and Fiery with shimmering jewel-toned shadows and deep wine colored lipstick and gloss. (MY WORDS, meh nothing new, doesn't mention what the blush is supposed to be)

Rosalie – Regal and Refined with peach toned shadows, a coral blush and apricot lipsticks and gloss. (MY WORDS, oOooo pretty!)

Alice – Eclectic and Spunky with shimmering blue and silver shadows, rosy blush and sheer hot pink lips. (MY WORDS, ass uglay, my blues and silvers kick this ones ass)

So as I said I bought Rosalie. It's a tiny palette, almost credit card sized. Eyeshadows are .95 grams, lip gloss .72 grams and blush is 3.89 grams. I like that I can shove it anywhere. Problem with being so small? I've already dropped the damn thing before I got to use it. Didn't see it.

The eyeshadows turned out being more frosty than I'd like. They would be better used just as hilighters. This palette would have been much better if they didn't include the glosses and added a crease colour and eyeliner colour. The glosses were useless for colour payoff. Why even bother making them 2 different shades? YOU CAN'T TELL!

The blush was beautiful. But not worth $30. I could have gotten Nars Orgasm for $8 less OR Avon Mark Afterglo blush for $7. All 3 the same shade. If only I thought of that FIRST.

Oh well, now I can openly say this product sucks because I know FO SHO.

Here are my crappy EOTD's. I used one of my new Bourgois eyeliners to add colour because without them I looked like a GODDAMN ALIEN WITH H1N1!

Lip gloss was covered with Avon Golden Glow because I couldn't see the other crap anyways.

Way to wash me out DuWop.

I will NOT buy again.
Not worth the price.
Don't recommend, get the Mark afterglo blush for 5.2g for $7 if you want pretty coral.
I give it a 1.5 out of 5. 1 for tiny size, .5 for blush even though I can get cheaper.

fail.

  2. You look gorgeous, but I totally get this. $30 for that itty bitty palette is insane! I thought it would be much bigger for that price, yikes!

  3. I just came across this Twilight Beauty site a couple days ago. I'm guessing there are big enough fans out there that wouldn't mind paying a lot for makeup just because it's Twilight themed. I have seen the movies. No biggy and the makeup doesn't look that great to me. I could care less.
    But you look lovely!!! :-)

  4. Aww thanks ladies :D I still felt I looked odd. (must be the lack of bright colours lol)

The packaging is pretty cute, but holy crap is it not worth it at all lol. It might not have been bad if they had stuck 2 more eyeshadows in it. I've been googling around to see if anyone else did a review but couldn't find one. So far it looks like I'm the only sucker :D Or maybe the tweens are getting them for expensive stocking stuffers?
I dunno. Rip to the Off.

  5. This is the first review I've seen on it! I remember when it came out, there was this big blogger YAY about it (not me though...I don't care for the vampire hype, I've liked em for a long time!) but no one bought em :(

  8. Afterglo is AMAZING! And also Starglo. Those are my 2 fav Mark blushes. They both show really well and for just $7 it's such a good deal. I even have backups lol. Everyone is always looking for Nars' Orgasm blush but Afterglo is the same thing for mucho less.

Highly super de duper recommend it!
