I tried to organize my crap today but that didn't go so well. 1 Makeup company got sorted and that's about it.

My collection has grown quite a bit from last summer and it's starting to just get ridiculous. I have 2 orders on their way to me and I think that's it until xmas time but then I'm going to try super hard not to buy anymore makeup other than the essentials. I found shit I don't remember buying! NICE!
BTW my sorting turned into "throw shit into drawer with like-items" I would love to try to blog-sale some of my stuff but Canadian shipping to anywhere is stupid expensive.

When I sorted my Meow stuff I found Abduction and it looked close to the yellowy green I've been hunting for! But it's not quite there yet...

What prompted me to try to do a glitter crease is THIS SWEET LOOK by EyeGraffiti. I don't know how she did it cuz mine kinda flopped but go there and subcribe! Her looks are awesome and should have maaaaaany more followers.

Craptastic books currently reading right here. Holy lordy they are not very good. The cyborgs are basically rapists cuz she's all like "hellz now" and he's all like "BUT YOU WILL LIKE IT AND BE PROPERTY YOU PUNY WOMAN" and then she's all like "YOU WERE RIGHT I LOVE YOU NOW" the end. That so doesn't count as a spolier because that would mean I ruined a story, but it pretty much ruins itself...

MAC Lightscapade

At first I was all YAY LIGHTSCAPADE FINALLY! I've been seeing this MSF all over the interwebz and was so upset I missed out on this colourful beast.

I walked to my MAC store in the mall to check out their newest releases and to pick up Blue Candy when LO AND BEHOLD! LIGHTSCAPADE WAS THERE! The tester looked so pretty and I know I'm too dark to pull it off but knowing how many people go rabid for this, I felt like I'd be breaking some makeup rule to just walk on by and ignore it's prettiness.

I believe I got the first one in the store because none of the plastic wrap was taken off the stack in the cupboard but 1st doesn't mean the best because at first glance, it looked like crap.

I pulled it out of the bag when I got home and could have cried. I paid $33.50 for a rainbow in a pot and got:

I honestly thought someone ran their finger through it, blending the shades together and ruining the initial veining when I remembered she opened a new pack for me right in front of me.

But all hope was not lost, just because it wasn't as asthetically pleasing as it's past interweb friends' pics, it wasn't a total loss.

O-kay so not the greatest swatch on the planet.

It's even more pretty in real life, but with the crap blur shot you see the multishimmer. Make it huge. You'll see! You'll all see!! :D

So I've forgiven it for not being pretty, I'm trying to think of it as being already blended in the pot. That makes my initial upset simmer down. Preblended Lightscapade. Yeah, that's what I think....

MAC Quite Cute Lipsticks

Aren't they friggin adorable? Or... cute? ha.ha.ha. clever me.

After seeing Temptalia's swatches of MAC's Quite Cute collection I decided I wanted all the lipsticks and 2 of the blushes. But since I was trying to pay off the card of all that is evil and this was supposed to be my only online purchase this month I decided not to get a 2nd blush or Playing Koi. I already knew the 2 lighter colours could look goofy on me and that Playing Koi would look the worst of the worst. My mister hates nude lips. He says it looks like "whore mouth" and while I usually don't give a shit on his opinion on what I wear, I have to admit, I kind of agree on whore mouth. But not the pretty, natural nude lips that Nea is often on the lookout for (although she made PK work by layering a gloss on top and lining like a pro), but the almost white, foundation looking, in your face whore mouths. Brown liner usually tops the look just perfectly... With my darker medium complexion, whore mouth is the result I would have gotten. So adieu Playing Koi, I'll try not to miss you too hard.

Seeing as Saint Germain is the only lippie available right now I guess this is more of a colour reference for blog sales, swaps, etc.

Candy Yum Yum is a stainer. I swatched it on my hand in the store after I placed my order online and the pink mark stuck around for a few days. And I wash my hands more than any sane person usually does so I knew it would stain my lips as well.

And I saw some people question if Quite Cute was close to Fashion Mews.

Not at all other than it's purple.

And here's Giggly, but no swatch yet. Just know I LOVE IT! I've worn it 4 times in a row already. I never wear the same damn blush 4 days in a row. This picture kind of sucks but now it looks all used, so it's either slightly blurry shot, or used powdery shot and I chose clean and blurrytastic.

Does this font annoy anyone? I wanted a change and it was the least annoying of the fancier fonts but I don't know if I like it, or if it hurts people's eyes reading it.

MAC Pink Lipstick Comparison

I snagged 4 MAC Quite Cute lipsticks and was gonna be all helpful and junk and show lip swatches but by the 4th one, my lips were burning from all that wiping!

So instead

It seems I like pink lipstick. And it's the shade of pink that tends to look like ass with my skintone. But in the tube it's glorious, so I'll just stare at its awesomeness instead I guess :)

I only own 11 MAC lipsticks and 4 were the quite cute ones so it's just a small collection. I don't plan on expanding it much because I don't wear lipstick often. It wears off crazy fast because I'm always rubbing my lips together. Nervous habit, just another annoying fact about me :D

Gaga is more sheer than I'd like it to be, it tends to pool up in creases, looking goofy.
To me Pink Friday is more wearable than Saint Germain because it's a tad darker.
Bubblegum is sheer but it goes on nice and evenly.
I've only worn Victorian once. And feel dumb for neglecting it, it's so hawt! And it's from the Spring Color Forecast collection, so yep, I wore it once all freakin year. I'm a turd, I know.

Shimmery Neutral

What up

I had to do my makeup fast because the store we wanted to go to closed at 6 and it was 4:30 when I started painting meh face.

Turquiose and red are 2 shades I have out because I wanna try that combo again but those 2 colours need time, and that I didn't have. So neutrals won!

I used Aromaleigh and my new Burberry Trench.

It turned out pretty neat, my browns-loving mom would be proud :D

Aromaleigh Coquille powder Nectarine dusted on top. If I don't use powder, this stuff settles in lines and I look wonderfully cakey. Also Nectarine adds more light and slight sparkles so I look more awake anyways :)

And there you have it! I haven't shown my fulll head in awhile. Stress made me zitty yet crazy dry and peely and puffy and I didn't feel like subjecting you guys to that kind of ugly torture. How on Earth can your skin be so frikkin oilslicky on half the face and then so dry your nose peels!?! Hormones/chemistry/genetics, you blow buddy.

Holiday buys

Hullo hullo.

I may be boring you with this post, I don't have many pics, I'm not at home and don't want to bore my family with trying to take my normal insane amount of photos to find the right one :D

I've been lazing away on my holidays that officially started 5:00pm Friday! woohoo!!

And for vacation I still feel insanely busy. People wanna do this, and that. Malls are insane yet I've been one every day since Sunday.

Makeup-wise, I'm having a bitch of a time finding a MAC foundation. The last one I bought, the girl paired me with a NW20 in Studio Sculpt SPF 15. I found I looked too cakey so I returned it. Then a couple days ago I couldn't remember if I was NW20 or NC20 and I wanted the Studio Fix Fluid and the lady there paired me up with NC15 because that foundation dries darker and she said NC20 was too yellow.

Then I get home and see my concealer was NW20 not NC20 so I got the wrong undertones I guess, or maybe the right one but it is definitely too light. In some lighting I can't tell but others I do look too pale. I don't want to make yet ANOTHER return so I'm just gonna use it and try to learn how to bronze and contour I guess :s

In pictures it is REALLY noticeable. The flash is like, BAM CASPER. I'm half native, my dad could pass for Danny Trejo's twin, I should not be wearing the lightest damn shade in a line of foundation. That should have been my first clue.

Ummm, Sephora trip!

After hating UD's All Nighter spray I decided to give another spray a chance. I bought the brand spankin new De Slick Oil Control makeup setting spray and the De-slick Mattifying powder. I grabbed the powder because I wasn't a huge fan of the De-slick In a Tube mattifying gel. It didn't do much and cost way too damn much to re-purchase.

So far I think they are working pretty good but the real test is going to be once I get back to that crap-tastic job.

And product number 3, Nars Hungry Heart duo. I swatched this one day and loved it but it costs a friggin fortune but being in a province without 7% PST I said what the fuck and tossed it in the bag. It has 2 shades but you really can't tell a difference on skin, especially if you use it over blush. I like it better than my Too Faced Candlelight powder, but I know I paid too much. Oh well, I'm on HOLIDAYS!!! :D And it would probably make a sweet browbone highlight duo.

More junks I bought, Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer.

This stuff feels WEIRD! Kind of powdery but oily at the same time. It was cheap so I wasn't expecting magic but I think so far it's just "meh".

Instead of all the fancy ass powders and sprays and primers I really should just buy some more Fyrinnae Velvet-gel Silica Primer. It doesn't cost a bagilliontrillion dollars and I liked it mucho, been meaning to buy some more for awhile now.

1 last thing I've bought so far, 2 MAC lipsticks!

On Friday I saw the MAC email mentioning the Pink Friday lipstick was available for the very last Friday so I quickly hopped on site and made my purchase.

Nooooo effing clue who Nicki Minaj is, I tried google but got bored. Apparently this shade is to help promote an album she came out with. Bah, don't care, it was pink, I wanted it!

I tried to order this the Friday before but it was sold out. This time I got lucky! And more lucky that Courting Lilac was still available. It's been sold out in all the stores I went too.
And even more lucky I got free express shipping. It shipped yesterday and I got it noon today. AND EVEN MORE LUCKY, I only paid the usual 5%GST and no extra 7%PST! Yay me!! :)


It's sweet when things work out.

MAC Venomous Villains Schtuff

Oh HAI!

I bought this stuff a bit ago and still haven't properly swatched it all so here's what I have done so far.

I ended up making 3 purchases and 1 return and one maybe return.

In total, right now I have:

Why the return? These were bought on my 3rd purchase. I got suckered in by the wicked packaging (pun totally intended) Maleficent was on the friggin case! But in total, that was $56 cdn on cute packaging when I already had something similar (Meow shades) in my collection. So I returned them and bought oodles of Fyrinnae instead.

The packaging! I actually loved the packaging, not to be mistaken with the design on the products themselves, just the boxes they came in. Even the INSIDES were detailed. Check out the purdy.

4 collections in 1 mega collection and this is the best they could come up with? I feel like they just wanted to throw this one out there to make up some bucks lost to that Rodarte collection (but I do think I saw the crappy photos before then). I read somewhere that they wished the drawings on the box matched the pictures on the products. That would have been awesome! It would have looked more badass anyway.

What's also disappointing is the nail polish and the greasepaint stick didn't have anything special on the boxes or the product themselves. I think if you are going to do a theme collection, don't do it half-assed!

Speaking of nail polish. I knew Mean & Green was going to be the same as Orly's Space Cadet. I only bought it because it was hard to get Space Cadet and now I have a backup :) The formula wears EXACTLY THE SAME! I've never had an EXACT dupe before right down to the wear time. You need 3 coats with Orly, just like MAC. They even peel off at the same time. I painted half a nail with one and finished the other half with the other. There was no different at all. My cuticles look pretty damn horrible or I'd show you myself but there's a blog I googled that did have swatches of both and they'll tell you the same.

Bad Fairy I bought because there wasn't a dupe in the Orly Cosmix collection. However, this shade is a bit boring compared to the other 2. It's just a red with gold reflecty flakes on top that morph red from head on. So half the time it just looks like a red polish.

I did accidentally make it cool though. I plopped on a coat of Revlon's Galaxy sparkle top coat. It has black spots in it and holographic bits. Then went over it in a top coat to dull it all down. But of course adding a matte to it just made it last for a day. Oh well. Now I can say I at least tried a MAC polish. It just sucks that I have to use drugstore brands to make it look good.

Heartless! After seeing Temptalia's uber red lip I wanted an intense red lipstick. I also bought the corresponding lipglass Wicked Ways to try to make it more intense. I think I should have just splurged and bought the Chanel one instead. It's not as blood red as I was hoping.

I tried seeing if I had any reds to compare it to and I saw my nail polish bottle sitting there. If you have a new Revlon shade, this lipstick is slightly more intense



Revenge is sweet (purple one) also a bit disappointing. It's effing SHEER! It showed up purple on my hand but I forgot that lips are pink so once this is on, it just looks like slightly coloured lip gloss. Not worth the $18.50. But it has Maleficent on it, so this baby I am keeping. I actually wear it to work and I never wear lip colours to work, it's that colourless.



Truth & Light Magically Cool Liquid Powder. This stuff is awesome even if it is damn tricky to use. My first time, it worked perfectly, the second time, I farked it up somehow.

This stuff makes it look like you have a healthy glow. Better than any "glowy" product I have so far. And I have fucktonnes of those (yup ms dazzlepants, I totally stole your word!)
It has a very, very fine pink shimmer to it. I read on another blog that they can't see it. No wayyyy jose, it's just not an obvious shimmer. In my bathroom with shitty dark yellowed lighting I can still see it.

Here's it on my hand and then over top my blush (which was matte, so the shimmer bit is allllll powder baby) Click twice to blow it up if you want to double check.




It's kind of hard to use sometimes because of it being wet for a few seconds. Sometimes I end up with it looking patchy. A huge pain in the ass when it's only on one side. But when it works, it looks awesome.

That's all I have for now. I tried swatching the blush but for some reason they weren't showing up too well, but they show up well on my face so I'll just have to post some FOTDs to show you instead.
