 Raw is really cool, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me but the flash on my camera told me otherwise.  There is a hint of green in there, you can barely tell.  I think it's more to give the colour dimension than to actually be noticeable. I really liked it.
My 3 favourites would have to be the browns: Ready for Action, Nudist and Raw, but I also love Disrobed, Stark, Buck Naked and Leafless.  The only colour that did not play well was Explicit (grey on the far right bottom in group shot).  I used a primer but it still tried to go on patchy.  I'll have to try it in a look to see how it wears, but on my arm, not so good.

THE FEELS

Hello again,
I have a brand spankin' new collection to show off for you.  They were sent to me about a month ago but there was a death in my family so I spent most of the last month way across the country hanging out with my parents.  Luckily I was already laid off.  That sounds really bad but when you need to hop on a plane and leave everything behind for a few weeks, it was nice to be able to leave and not have to let work down. Because they already let me down... BUUUUUURN.  SELF BURN hahaha.  Oh well.  That's life.  Getting laid off is probably the best thing to have happen because now I can go do something shiny and new and move back home, which I missed the most.  I hated not being able to go see my mom and dad.  I even missed my brothers.  Little bro's gal is having a baby and I was so afraid I was going to miss everything with him or her being born this November. Now I get to see it all!  But now I have bursts of happy thinking about going back, with bursts of not so good thinking about what led up to it (losing that job security) and all I missed out on (dad's 60th, grandparent's 50th coming to Canada anniversary, friend's babies, cousin's weddings, seeing my brother all healthy back in May if I had just gone that day instead of being tired the day before flying back here), plus thinking about who's next, another brother? My parents? My turn?  How morbid eh?  I'll be in the middle of reading a book and start to freak out.  I haven't left this apartment since I got back Tuesday night.  Wake up in the morning just to go back to sleep again until noon.  Just don't feel like doing anything.  It was easier when I was back home, but now that I'm back here for 5 more weeks with nobody around and the dudeman at work, I can't shut my brain up. Not really appropriate makeup blog talk but whatever.  I'm back in Manitoba away from everyone again so I have to get it all out somewhere :(
The new collection I'll show off in a separate post so I don't scare people off just looking for swatches and instead getting a freakin' life story.

More pictures from my major delete-a-thon!  I found this EOTD in my Christmas folder.  I remember most of what I used.  All the colours were from Meow Cosmetic's limited edition End of Days collection that came out last Autumn.

My battery was dying and I didn't know where the charger was so only closeups of my favourites, including one applied wet!  I don't usually try them wet because I'm too lazy to do that in my EOTD's but I knew there would be some crazy shimmer action if I did so.

NOTD ~ Vintage Green Sparkle

I make a pretty lousy nail blogger.  My nails curl, my cuticles are usually pretty beat up, I seem to always have one snapping off at the worst spot ever, and I can't figure out the proper camera settings to show it how I see it in real life. Also I don't really clean up stray polish because by that time, my face is already in a book or the dudeman just popped in X-Files and then I just don't care enough to finish.  But this combo needs to be shown!  Even with my lousy nail picture taking skills!

A England She Walks in Beauty is my current favourite top coat polish. I saw that a few months ago Sephora had a dupe called Ice Princess.  I wish I snagged it, A England polishes are kind of a bitch to get.  It's this lovely rose gold/greenish shimmer with light pink hex glitter in 2 sizes, if my eyeballs are working correctly.

And I'm always on the hunt for minty coloured polish and Rainbow Honey delivered!  Mint Flavor.  How I heart thee.

Here is my vintage type look. I say vintage because this reminded me of those super complicated looking nails where the person paints them teal/mint and paints roses on them to look like old wallpaper.  Only I'm far too lazy for that!

*note: ring finger actually has a different polish, I didn't like it and went with SWIB instead)

Femme Fatale's Veil of the Siren on the ring finger.  It's lovely but it looked more mermaidy than the vintage-type colour I was going for.

Yellow and Pink EOTD

I wasn't sure how this combo was going to turn out.  I knew I wanted pink and yellow but for the liner it was a choice between green or blue.  Green eventually won out but I'm not really impressed with it.
The liner is Lime Crime Citreuse and it's a nice bright green shade in the tube but seems to go on more yellow than green and then it dries to a hard chunky pain in the ass to work with formula.  The black liner I used on top kind of skipped on over parts.  Grrr.

Aaaaanyways, for this look I used:

Sugarpill Buttercupcake inner half of lid
Sugarpill Dollipop for outer half of lid
Urban Decay Tease in crease
Rimmel Spring Flower blush (the light pink shade in the compact) for the transition shade into the browbone
Burberry Trench on browbone
Shiro Cosmetics Tears of Retail Employees (disc.) inner corners
LC Citreuse with UD liquid liner on top.
