Cocoa Pink parte un

I titled it part one because there is so much available on that site it's gonna take me awhile to go through the products.

Cocoa Pink is a bath and body products webstore.
They have various shampoos, conditioners, perfumes, lotions, scrubs and a crazy variety of scents to choose from.

Having a closet full of bath and body stuff I usually skip past these kind of sites unless something can pull me in. What better thing to suck me in than HALLOWEEN SCHUTFF!

cute picture is cute

They have these Halloween Phobia gift sets and I purchased the perfume sampler kit for $18.

Scent descriptions are:
Fear Of Cemeteries (Coimetrophobia) - Cool damp graveyard dirt with a single white carnation placed cautiously against an old granite headstone, covered by dying crimson and yellow autumn leaves with a soft whisper of wood smoke carried in a crisp breeze.

Fear of Ghosts (Phasmophobia) - Glowing marshmallow orbs and smoky vanilla spectral mists swirl aimlessly around an old bonfire in the Crisp October night air – Fresh vanilla puffed marshmallows, toasted marshmallows, hints of bonfire smoke among scattered sharp grains of white rice to ward unwelcome spirits away.

Fear of Pumpkins (Cucurbitophobia) – Sweet pumpkin entombed inside soft pale cupcakes topped with whipped buttercream frosting next to a frightful blend of sugared pralines and pumpkin bread.

Fear Of Witches (Wiccaphobia) – Warm baked bread fresh from the oven, gentle wisps of bonfire smoke drifting through the frigid autumn air and smooth buttery caramel sprinkled with coarse black sea salt is your best bet in keeping them at bay.

Fear of spiders (Arachnophobia) – Dragon’s blood resin, the memorable scent of fine pipe tobacco, chopped bundles of firewood, fragrant sprigs of wormwood and bright scarlet apples.
Samhainophobia

Fear of Halloween (Samhainophobia) - The tooth ache inducing candy at the bottom of old worn pillowcases and plastic jack o lanterns! Sweet tarts, candy corn, assorted lollipops, melting chocolate and wild raspberry chewing gum.

HOW COULD I RESIST!

I almost didn't get the set because of the international shipping rates, but my friend asked in the forum about that and she was told I'd get the difference back. So yay!! No jacking the prices! And I did get the difference back into my paypal account.

Coimetrophobia AKA Fear Of Cemeteries decided to not play nice and leaked a bit on his friends, but there was still plenty left in the bottle, so nothing to be upset about. Stuff happens, and those little atomizers are bound to leak sometimes. It's still good yo!

They were all completely full like the 4th bottle looks like (I used most of them before taking this shot) with the exception of that trouble maker Cemetery, but you can see there is still plenty left, it didn't reach the label level.

There was a free (really nice sized!) sample of the Pumpkin Fried Ice Cream Body Butter included in the order but I brought it to work and have been using it all week so no picture :( I smell so good there I wanna eat my arms but they tend to frown on self cannibalism.

One product on the website I'm most excited to try out is their Ends With Benefits hair & body fragrance mist. HAIR PERFUME!!

What makes this stuff better for your hair than actually spraying it with perfume is that perfumes contain alcohol and dry your hair out. Ends With Benefits doesn't contain alcohol so it will leave you with pretty smelling hairs without murdering your poor folicles. Actually not sure it would effect the folicle, that part being in your scalp and all but you know what I mean Dr Scientist.
Oh and they're vegan for those who wanna know. NOW YA KNOW!

The sprays come in 2 different sizes, 1oz for $6.50 and 2 oz for $8.99.

Cocoa Pink was having a 24 hr birthday sale and if you spend $40 or more you got $10 off your order. It was like only paying $2 for shipping. Works for me! :)

I totally took advantage and picked up a few of the Ends With Benefits sprays in Fear of Cemeteries, Fear of Halloween (which smells like awesome froot loops), Pumpkin Fried Ice cream (the free sample of the body butter made me fall in lurve with this scent) and Fairytale. Grabbed the last one on a whim. Yeah I'm one of those suckers who buy stuff for their names but check out it's scent description!:

Fairytale - Bulgarian roses, fresh juicy apples and vine ripen strawberries sweetened up with sugar cookies topped with candied cherries and sprinkled with confectioners’ sugar.

SO SOLD.

While I'm gushing about fairytales check out this one too:
Cinderella’s Carriage – What did Cinderella really wish for? We think it was this blend of Coconut Cream Pie with Marshmallow Meringue, Sweet Pumpkin, Spiritueuse Double Vanilla, and Vanilla Bean Noel. We think this is the REAL reason the prince fell in love, who could resist Cinderella in sexy foody?

OH OH OH OH, I guess I should point out where I'm finding all the scent descriptions. Go to the little cupcakes up top.

RIGHT THERE SIR

I like how they have shampoos and conditioners that you can get customized with one of their scents.

One day I will get these as well, but I want to make sure I get a smell I won't get sick of so I made sure to order 2 5ml 6pack atomizers to try to find my mega winner.
1 atomizer is $3.95 and the 6 pack is $18.

This seems like the best way to samples all the difference scent options they have.

Part of me hopes I won't like all the ones I picked, to save some moola, but I doubt that's gonna happen :D

In case anyone was wondering my choices for those were:

Bing Cherry Coconut Frosting
Black Cat in the Pumpkin Patch
Cherry Cola Float
Cinderella’s Carriage
Cotton Candy Canes
Fruit Loops

Mint Eyelet
Pink Frenzy
Something Wicked
Vanilla Mint
Disco Lemonaid
Marshmallow Candy Cane Noel

Yeah it was kind of silly for me to choose a Fruit Loops perfume when I already think the Fear of Halloween one smells like haunted Froot Loops but what can I say? I rock cereal hard.

I'm hoping Cherry Cola Float smells as good as I think it will. To walk around catching whiffs of cherry pop, I'd have a freakin smile on my face all day long!

If you're quick you might be able to still get in on that $10 off action.

GO THERE NOW!

Darling Girl Halloween

Why hello again!

Just a quick post to let you know Darling Girl Cosmetics has just released their Halloween collection quite awesomely called "Darling Ghoul Halloween" :D

Each product has swatches when you click on them, so browse through and see if there's anything you like.

I kind of went nuts and got most of it. I'm most looking forward to:

Going Batty holo gloss

Ghouls Gone Wild lip jelly

Bats in the Belfry eyeshadow

Crypt Keeper eyeshadow

Just Bitten cream blush. The DG dupe for Tarte for Trueblood's Glamour Me gel blush. I think this one will be more wearable than Tarte's version, the glitter in that one is a little bit of a pain in the ass.

Now go forth and bloweth your paychequeths...

Geek Chic Swatches P2

Geek Chic Swatches

Fyrinnae Swatches

The mister is at work so I had time to colour on my arms like a crazy person so that means

IT'S SWATCH TIME YO!

It was a great excuse to try to salvage the dying primer left in my Urban Decay Pro size Primer Potion. AKA DO NOT BUY THAT SHIT. Unless you are making up like, 20 faces a day, everyday forEVAR. Waste of money. Look at my poor tube.

It got so thick, it came out the bottom. LURVELY EH?

Sorry, my inner Canuck just popped out to say hi there.

And apparently my inner British Columbian because I just fixed the typo that said "high there".

Getting off topic as usual.

Back to srs bsns

This was my order from Fyrinnae from the middle of August. It came ages ago but I'm a procrastinator extraordinaire, so swatches were held off.

UNTIL NOW

BOM BOM BOMMMMMM

Aparently I was on a pink/gold/neutral kick

Here are the pretties

First group:
Calavera Cupcakes, Sacred, Te Amo (aww I LOVE YOU TOO!), Fire Opal, Sugar Skulls, Chaotic Evil, Gilded Wings, Polar Bear (UDPP on top, FPE below)

Window light

Random Coolness

Group 2 'cause my arm isn't that long:

Sake & Sashimi, Newcastle, Pumpkinfire, Medieval Haunting (these 4 done over new UDPP, tired of fighting over the evil one)

WINDOW LIGHTNESS!

You can kind of see the green sparkles in Sake & Sashimi better in the shitty windowlight picture. I wish I knew the magic words to make window light/no flash pics not look like blurry ass. But tis okay! It seems sparkles show better in blurs anyway.

It's one of those things you have to ask yourself:

WWTD?

What Would Temptalia Do?

Yeah I linked her, for those who don't know who Temptalia is, yet manage to find me instead. IMPOSSIBLE, I KNOWZ IT.

Also I lied on what book I was reading next when I said THIS ONE in that last post because I made it through a chapter and realized I was in a more smart assed mood and decided to give THIS ONE A GO instead. (First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones for those wary of my ninja linkage skillz) It was pretty fantastic. I'm 1/5 of the way through the second one now.

Sarcastic smart ass arrogant characters are TEH BESTEST. We need more books like that. Instead of mopey sad emo Bella's...

TWILIGHT BURN

And that, grasshopper, is how you take a post on something, and manage to throw it off track many, many times.

What is this ADD you speak of?

MAH BIRTHDAY PRESENT! + randomness

Super duper kick ass earrings in 5...4...3...2...1

ROBOT SPERM!

No, not really.

If they look familiar you may recognize them from True Blood! We just finished season 3 and when I saw the earrings from the show I thought they looked so awesome, and amazingly the dude agreed and he surprised me with them for my birthday yesterday!!!

They are from Tiffany & Co. called the Elsa Peretti Teardrop earrings.

Their picture shows the point to be more blunted than in real life. In real life these bitches drew BLOOD YO! Holy frig you have to really squish your ear in just the right way and fiddle for like 5 minutes. But in the end, LOOK AT THE BLING!
WORTH IT!

I had them on backwards and had the joy of taking them out and squishing them back on again. It's even harder when you put them the direction they're meant to go :D

I don't plan on taking them out for a long time anyways. My right hole started to heal because nothing was worn in my ears for so long because those cheapy earrings from Claire's tend to irritate my ears. So far since wearing these the only problem I had (other than initial freakin blood loss) was getting my towel stuck to my head.

Oh that was fun. I felt real special just then.

I also snagged Urban Decay's BOS 4 as a bday present to me.

HAH Who am I kidding, I would have bought the thing even if they released it 3 months ago.

The mall trip was to get more primer because the $30+ tube of UDPP DRIED OUT! And yeah, palette was impulse buy. YAY! At this rate the CC will be paid off XMAS '13...

And a super shitty EOTD I thought would have worked out but didn't.

Baked on lid
Hijack in crease
Bust above crease (probably could have skipped this step)
Crystal to blend inner 1/4 of lid
Zephyr on browbone
Cobra lower lashline with Baked blended below it
Liquid liner that came with the set
Mascara that came with the set

I was really hoping Hijack would have looked more teal like it did in the pan, but not on my eyes aparently.

Oh wells.

1 pic cuz it sucked.

SO THURR.

BOOK I'M READING RITE NAOWWW

1 more bit of news. Check your Kindle cords peeps.

Not even 5 months old and the cord is splitting. I went to Amazon to see how much it would be to order a new cord and noticed it had twice as many 1-star ratings than 5-star and it was mostly for the problem I had.
I emailed Amazon and they had to send a $10 credit to the account to place and order, and when the order ships, I email them again with the info so they reimburse me for the shipping charge.

PAIN IN THE ASS.

If someone pays $180 for something, parts of it should not be failing in less than 5 months. And with the amount of complaints, a better cord should be included, instead of the cheap one they send out instead. Yes I'm getting a new cord, but it still irks me so many people have this problem, and just a quick look at the reviews, it's been happening for awhile. Just keep an eye on your cords, and don't be surprised when teeny wires start popping out :(

There. Shiny stuff, new makeup, and a mini rant all in one.

GOOD TIMES!

Yet MOAR Buttercupcakey Goodness

This look I did 2 weeks ago methinks.

I used:
UDPP
Lid: Aromaleigh Love Note
Crease: Sugarpill Cosmetics Bulletproof
Above Crease and Lower lashline: Sugarpill Cosmetics Buttercupcake
Liner and Lower Liner: MAC Black Line
Inner corner: I think I used Lumi
Browbone: I think this was Burberry Trench

And now click here to buy the greatest yellow eyeshadow in the solar system

This is the only look I've done in awhile, I've been reading again! Well, still I guess. Working on the Merry Gentry series, read all of Immortals After Dark (OMG I LOVE THEMZ! Covers are kinda goofy until you hit book 4. Actually 4 and 5's covers kinda suck also, skip to looking at book 6! :D) Read all the current Alien Huntress novels including the newest one I preordered. I'm eagerly waiting for this book to hurry up and be released. I think I tried to preorder that one 3 times because I couldn't remember if I did it already or not. IT'S STRIDER'S STORY! Yeahhh you probably don't know what I'm talking about. Stalk these books down and read em!
If you like these kind of books, on the right hand side where you see the button "Keeper of Strider" click on that and it'll take you to a really cool book review blog for books like these.
What else did I read.......
Oh yeah! The Masters of the Shadowlands books. They have nothing to do with immortal anything, but I really liked them. Turns out I'm not creeped out by BDSM. haha and there go 50 followers.

THE MORE YOU KNOOOOWWW

*RAINBOW*

What else, what else.

Oh look at this monster poutine I ate for dinner

Bacon, caramelized onions, mushrooms, chicken and of course cheese, fries and gravy.

HEARTATTACK!

Until next time folks! :)

Apothica *SHOPPING JUNKIES UNITE!*

Hullo there!

Long time no posty, had my face break out very bad and it pretty much killed my blogging mood. It's still really bad so while I try to murder my zits lemmie tell you about an awesome site that was brought to my attention!

APOTHICA!

Apothica is a webstore that has so many beauty products you could be browsing for hours.

It also shares a cart with Skin Care RX and Skinbotanica. The top right hand corner is where you'll find your cart, keeping track of your order.

Also really nifty, you can log in and see your previous orders! Awesome feature if you're a shopping junkie/hoarder/COLLECTOR(least negative way of putting it :D ) like me and can't remember if you bought something already.

Apothica sells Too Faced! so you can get your primer needs right here baby.

The site is more buyer friendly to US customers though. The parcel is sent Fed Ex with tracking, so it's a tad pricey, but the package won't get lost. Also customs could snag the package and plop on the all wonderful tax/handling charge as well. For some reason Fed Ex felt $10 handling was appropriate, so in the end it was another $19 >:[ LOVE IT

The package also had many free samples to play with, which is always awesome :)

Apothica had sent me a $50 GC so I picked out 2 Too Faced palettes to use the whole amount and then some :) I haven't gotten around to swatching/wearing any of the palettes yet, but as soon as I'm out of my funk I'll be using these a lot.

Here's the Romantic Eye palette

And the Naked Eye palette

I'll try to get these swatched and posted up soon!
In the meantime check out Apothica!
