No pants EOTD's

Here are some quick pics of the looks I've done this week.

Only 1 shot of each because I had to catch a bus and had no time to fiddle around.

I WAS PANTSLESS! For real. I do my makeup before I get changed for work but had to snap eye pics while the camera was right here, hence "NO PANTS EOTD'S!"

The yellow pic is a bit blurry but no time ninjas. Almost no time for pants even. But I did both. It was for the best.

First eyeball:

UDPP
Sugarpill Buttercupcake on lid and above crease and in lower lashline
Aromaleigh Grace in crease
Burberry Trench on browbone
MAC Black Line smudged into lower lashline under Buttercupcake
Physician's Formula gel liner

I used the wrong crease shade. I couldn't remember what I used in the past but I don't think Grace was it, I think I used a dark matte grey but it still looked okay.

messy eyeliner is messy

Eyeball 2:

UDPP
Aromaleigh's Miuccia on lid
Aromaleigh Grace in crease
Burberry Trench on browbone (seeing a pattern here?! :D )
MAC Undercurrent lower lashline
Physician's Formula gel liner

Eyeball 3:

UDPP
Aromaleigh Betelgeuse on lid
Aromaleigh Grace in crease (seriously people, it's a pretty awesome shade. GREEN SHIMMAH!)
shimmery nude on browbone
MAC Undercurrent lower lashline
Annabelle Cosmetics Bronze eyeliner

1 MORE WEEK UNTIL THE HUNGER GAMES!!

So excited! SO MUCH! AHHHHH HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!

The commercials make it look so cool.

Kinda lame blue EOTD

BUT I'M POSTING IT ANYWAYS!

I have to post SOMETHING DUDES!

So here's a look I did over a week ago. I was angry at it because it was much more brighter in real life and somehow the old ass 80 year old camera couldn't pic up accurate colour, and the stupid ass $600 wouldn't either.

NO WINNING, I SWEAR!

CAPS LOCK LET'S YOU KNOW I AM SERIOUS.

Anybody who has Aromaleigh's Aqua Nightmare knows it's bright and awesome and vibrant, so picture that as you see my fail pictures.

I used:
UDPP
Lid: Aqua Nightmare
Crease AL Grace
Browbone: shimmery nude
Inner corner: Meow's Yeti from the X collection
Lower liner: Aqua Nightmare and MAC Black Line pearlglide intense
Eyeliner: Black Line

(see the camera difference? One is brighter, more colour accurate but BLURRRRRFEST2012)

My preview is showing one of the pics not lining up right. Oh goody!

That blurry pic is soooo unacceptable. After this long I should be able to get clear closeup pictures but I'm doing something wrong with the EOS and it's making me displeased x a billion + 12. I took so many shots too and this was the least shitty one out of all of them. This thing's gonna take a trip off the balcony.

In other news, pre-order your Hunger Games nail polishes!!

Nothing else new. I don't even have a new book series to share with you. And Azure, if you're reading this, I have to finish the series cuz I'm a nutcase :D It just bugs me not knowing an ending. What if it gets super good and I'll never know!? Except I will cuz I'm pushing on through lol

Yet MOAR Buttercupcakey Goodness

This look I did 2 weeks ago methinks.

I used:
UDPP
Lid: Aromaleigh Love Note
Crease: Sugarpill Cosmetics Bulletproof
Above Crease and Lower lashline: Sugarpill Cosmetics Buttercupcake
Liner and Lower Liner: MAC Black Line
Inner corner: I think I used Lumi
Browbone: I think this was Burberry Trench

And now click here to buy the greatest yellow eyeshadow in the solar system

This is the only look I've done in awhile, I've been reading again! Well, still I guess. Working on the Merry Gentry series, read all of Immortals After Dark (OMG I LOVE THEMZ! Covers are kinda goofy until you hit book 4. Actually 4 and 5's covers kinda suck also, skip to looking at book 6! :D) Read all the current Alien Huntress novels including the newest one I preordered. I'm eagerly waiting for this book to hurry up and be released. I think I tried to preorder that one 3 times because I couldn't remember if I did it already or not. IT'S STRIDER'S STORY! Yeahhh you probably don't know what I'm talking about. Stalk these books down and read em!
If you like these kind of books, on the right hand side where you see the button "Keeper of Strider" click on that and it'll take you to a really cool book review blog for books like these.
What else did I read.......
Oh yeah! The Masters of the Shadowlands books. They have nothing to do with immortal anything, but I really liked them. Turns out I'm not creeped out by BDSM. haha and there go 50 followers.

THE MORE YOU KNOOOOWWW

*RAINBOW*

What else, what else.

Oh look at this monster poutine I ate for dinner

Bacon, caramelized onions, mushrooms, chicken and of course cheese, fries and gravy.

HEARTATTACK!

Until next time folks! :)

Bunch of looks I can't remember. AKA Forgettable EOTDS!

So here's the extent of my creativity this month. A whole lotta nuthin'. I skipped liner some days, skipped crease colours, I just was not feeling it. Not like I have some super makeup magical makeup mojo going on most days anyways, but I preferred to read my sluttay vampire books instead so I dragged my sleepy arse out of bed and most times I didn't have time to play.

That and the heat is KILLER here, so the makeup is going to melt off my face in the time it takes me to walk to the bus stop. I'm getting farmers tan. I hate tans. This displeases me greatly. Today the heat hit 34 Celsius with the humidex making it 46 degrees. Google land tells me this is 114.8 Fahrenheit. (How sad is that, that I know how to spell "fahrenheit" only because there's an eyeshadow called that?) Sooooo yeah, it's like getting hugged in a wet blanket that just got pulled out of the microwave. GOOD TIMES!

So enough blah blah blah-ing, here are my sad makeup days:

I'll start with a not-bad one, and it's one I did something close to before. It's good if you don't feel like taking a chance, just find a look you did already and loved and do it again.
Just to not repeat myself, I always used UDPP. I have the pro size massive squeeze tube and I shouldn't have bothered buying it. It's getting thick already. I should bitch about it in it's own post one day, but can't remember when I bought the sucker so I'll probably just get blamed for not using it faster. Cuz you know, only 2 eyes and all that junk...
Also, not many pics of all the looks. The batteries are dying and I'm just milking the last bit of juice. It usually runs out before I can get all 4 angles non-fuzzy.

ramblerambleramble

I used mostly Aromaleigh:
Lid: Hearts A Plenty
Crease and lower lashline: Pass the Tarts
Lower lashline: MAC Black Line
Browbone: probably Burberry Trench
Inner corner: Terpsichore

Next I decided to skip shadows altogether and play with some lashes I bought from KKCenterHK. I grabbed a whole bunch of awesome ones but I guess I need to do a post for that also! SO BEEEEHIND!

I wasn't sure what the direct link to the pair I wore was but here's a pic of what they are

And on my eyeballs. I just wore Burberry Trench and black eyeliner. I also failed at getting my foundation/concealer up to my lower lashline. HI REDNESS! You suck.

Next up I used MAC Old Gold and a Teal Joe Fresh felt liner eyeliner pen. I think I skipped the crease or used Aromaleigh's Expecto Patronum. Can't rememberith.

And here's something neutral lookin'. Not sure what I used at all so consider it, ummm, neutral inspiration? Or just boring. Boring works.
The eyeliner is Meow Cosmetic's Coffin. I know that much!

And the look I did yesterday.
I think I used AL's Brownstone on lid
Kiss My Sass's Sleepy Hollow
and AL's Georgiana on browbone.
Inner coner was AL's Window Shopping.
Skipped upper liner but smudged MAC Black Line in lower lashline.

And today's look. I wanted something more red but wimped out last second and it ended up being toned down mucho.

All Aromaleigh
Lid: Pavanne
Crease: Crucio
Darken crease and lower lashline: Frumious
Browbone: Peach

So tharr you have it. Nothing spectacular. My dude told me today he didn't like today's look and prefered my bright stuff. BONUS! That means I have to break out the Sugarpill again. Or dig out my schweeeeet yellows.
Speaking of yellows, CHECK THIS BITCH OUT. Yup. I boughtz it.

Dirty Yellow! And uh, Happy Rapture Boxing Day

Back on my dirty lookin' kick I got going on right now (oh kill me, I typed "write now" just then) yellow was the next shade I wanted to muddy up. Something tells me pink would also look pretty kick assy with the grey and yellow...

I know, I'm not very creative using the same combo and just switching the lid colour, but it's working so sweet right now! That and I'm not totally creative to begin with so if I find something that works, I'm riding that wave baybeee! :D

If I have enough time in the mornings, Satin Laces, Dollipop and Dinosaur Plushie are going to be my next 3 victims with the Willow/Buttercupcake combo. There hasn't been much updating lately because I have to take the bus bright and early and now that my hair is different, it doesn't fit into an elastic so I'll probably be fussing with it everyday, losing MORE time. Oh goody!

The other time eater is my Kindle. I can't help it. The dude gets ignored for hours as I wait to see how Rachel Morgan handles a vampire for a roomate and having damn near everyone wanting the poor witch dead.

Now to ze eyeballs

I used:

UDPP
Lid: Aromaleigh's Airy Ethos (Victoria's Revenge)
Crease: Aromaleigh's Willow (Carolina Summer Mattes)
Upper crease and lower lashline smudged over liner: Sugarpill's Buttercupcake
Browbone: Aromaleigh's Wonder-ous (Wonderstruck)
Inner corner: Persephone's Eternal Sailor Moon (yeah that wasn't in the green look but I wanted more shiny!)
Liner: Physician's Formula reallylongnameoneagain
Lower Liner: Mac Pearlglide Intense Liner in Black Line, smudged a lot. (This also wasn't in the green look but it's the weekend and I had all the time in the world. I knew I wouldn't get raptured, I'm too much a heathen... :)

And my face with hair I couldn't brush at the time because the mister wouldn't hurry his ass up out of the bathroom.

My face looks a bit lighter than my neck but it's actually the other way around. The flash reacted to the finishing powder I think. I went to MAC again to try to get matched. The 1st time I went, the girl told me NW20, but I didn't like how thick the formula was (studio sculpt) so I went to another MAC and that girl matching me with NC15 Studio Fix. It was right for some parts of my face, mostly my lower cheek bones but my neck doesn't match my face in shade so I ended up looking too pale and masklike.

It's funny, they say to find your skintone (warm or cool) to see what colour your veins show, blue is cool, green is warm. But my wrist has a blue line in the middle with the ones on either side of it showing more green. You can see how I can't figure this out! I'm dutch, which you probably expect fair skin, blonde hair blue eyes, definitely cool tones (like all my aunts and most of my cousins.) But I'm half native, dark hair, brown eyes, gotta be warm? Not this chick. Even my birthmark doesn't know what race I am, my arm is 2 splotchy shades, with blonde hairs sprouting up from the pale bits and brown hair on the darker skin lol. My mom didn't blend me well enough I guess :D

Back to foundation woes...

The 3rd try I told the girl I didn't want a shade to match my face, but to match my neck and I think I just about have my match now, NC25. I think to get it more right I should mix it with NC15 (NC20 looked too beige, not golden enough). For right now, this bottle will do. My Meow order came in the mail and I have to mix 2 of those but I can't remember if I did 2 parts dark to 1 part light, or the other way around. 50/50 didn't work last time.

Anybody wanna trade faces?

Dirty Green

O Hai there!

I haven't updated since the 2nd cuz I had to be all lame and shit and take holidays. I wore makeup during them but didn't take pictures. They were mostly safe looks, combo's I've remembered I liked so ya didn't miss anything! Score!

This look turned out kinda cool but I wanna re-do it with silver/grey as the main lid, or a muddy yellow. I'll probably try both just to see which one looks the bestestest. My money's on the yellow. Yellow rocks.

I used:
UDPP
Lid: Aromaleigh's Estranged
Crease: Aromaleigh's Willow
Upper crease blended into Willow: Sugarpill's Buttercupcake
Browbone: Aromaleigh's Wonder-ous
Liner: Physician's Formula thisnameistoofuckinglong gel liner.
Rimmel Sexy Curves Blackest Black Mascara

Annnnnnnd, I cut my hair! I don't have a great shot of it (my makeup is now yucker's looking and closeups would be cruel) so you get a Hipstamatic shot of it instead.

About 80% of my vacation pics were done with that app. It's just so freakin fun!

Here's a bonus pic

Oh Hipstamatic, I <3s thee

One of those "looked better in real life" FOTDs

A problem with me loving stuff with awesome shimmers and sparkles, is the camera doesn't pick them up well and then in the pics it just looks booooring. This look wasn't boring though in real life. More neutral than usual but with greeny gold sparkly shimmer awesomeness.
Like MAC's Black Line pearlglide eyeliner, it's crazy shimmery as you can see in the swatch here but in these pics, you can barely see the shimmer in my lower lash line.

Meh
Whatever
PICTURE TIME!

I used:
Eyes~
TFSI
Aromaleigh Love Note on lid
Aromaleigh Viburnum in crease
Persephone Pegasus in inner corner
Burberry Trench 02 on browbone
Joe Fresh Black felt pen eyeliner
Mac Black liner lower lashline
Rimmel Sexy Curves Blackest Black mascara

Lips~
Burberry Ruby Lip Cover

And I got tired of looking at my shit ass eyebrows so I decided to crop them out the next 2 cuz THAT'S HOW I ROLL!

Whole face minus some forehead because I didn't feel like looking at that either...

And then the lipstick wore off through dinner, so here's it afterwards.

In more makeuppy news, MAC's Quite Cute collection is now available. Spend over $90 and you get some cute pins.

Just a warning, the site is SO FUCKING ANNOYING right now, all these little pictures hopping around for you to click, it's too chaotic and I couldn't wait to hit "checkout" :/

Mattes and brows

Hai!

I just keep getting more and more lazy when posting. I sometimes feel guilty for not posting then I remind myself I do this because I want to, not because I get paid for anything so I'm allowed to slack off yo! There are a few looks I want to post but first this one!

Recently I learned about eyebrow threading. I've heard about it before and saw a clip of a salon lady goin' at it and it just looked insane.

Then this wicked video was brought to my attention. Anyone who plucks their eyebrows NEEDS to watch this video. So much time can be saved by learning how to thread your own brows.
Basically you take a piece of string, knot it into a loop, twist it around a few times, place it on your face and scissor the away (nothing gets cut, it all gets plucked like usual)

One thing I've noticed, it hurts less when you do it late in the day. It hurts like hell in the morning probably because you're still waking up and you are ripping hairs out of your face. That's never a warm and fuzzy feeling.

That's about all the pain tips I tell you right now. It's only been a day :D

But I am way more confident in my EOTD pics, I don't have to crop so much eyebrow off because I got rid of most of the annoying little hairs that grow above my brows! I still have to work on removing the tiny ones above my eyelid. I get worried I'll accidentally take off important brow hairs!

Another thing I did today, I used a pigment to fill on the brows! Usually I use this Revlon brow grooming kit (middle shade) but I was curious what a pigment would look like and Phyrra and Blix always use some kick ass colours so I wanted to give it a go. The shade I used was Aromaleigh's Bougainvillea from the Carolina Summer Mattes collection. It's a reddish brown and I have a massive 10gr jar of it thanks to one of my super awesome readers (THANKS MARCEY! :)

On to my face! The lid shades were actually green but the camera made them look more grey. Oh well.

I used:
TFSI
Aromaleigh Carolina Summer mattes:
Lid: Verdigris
Crease: Palmetto
Browbone: Sand
Lower liner: UD Zero smudged.
Upper liner: Physicians Formula black sparkle gel stuff again.

And my face!

Read this and be disgusted

That is all :)

It's Matteness! Matteness I Say!!!

All my brushes were washed last night and those bitches took me half an hour! I like to see that my shampooing them is actually cleaning them good when the water goes pink down the sink! And the next day they feel so friggin soft and fluffy. Like wiping a bunny on my face.

bunnybunnybunnybunny

With my just-scrubbed brushes I broke out some more brights! The original plan was to play with my Sugarpill pressed shadows which I STILL haven't used since I bought them on Black Friday (I KNOW! WTF IS WRONG WITH ME!?!) but instead I grabbed Aromaleigh's Hi-Fi Mattes.

I wasn't a huge matte fan until I grabbed these dudes. This collection was also one of the first collections I hit "buy all" to. (Holiday Blast was the other I believe) I bought them when Kristen had a different 50% off dealio around Christmas 2009.

It was thanks to this collection I started giving neutral mattes a second chance as well.
BFTE has a whole schwackload of mattes I'd love to hit up one day. Anyone know if their sample jars hold less than Fyrinnae's minis?

I'LL STOP RAMBLING!!

I used:

TFSI
Inner corner: Winter White by the now-defunct Stardust cosmetics
Rest of lid: Cat's Pajamas
Crease: Supermurgatroid (AWESOME! I have no idea why I only just unstickered the sifter today, I should have hit this up AGES ago!)
Browbone: Fyrinnae Finnegan's Wake (Frick I'm gonna need a full jar of this if I keep on using it so often!)
Liner: Physicians Formula Brown Eyes Glam Shimmer somethingorother blackness with sparkles and such.

I skipped any lower liners because red below probably would have made me look like a was sniffing cat fur all day. Black liner (MAC Black Line) smudged might have worked okay, but I really liked how this worked without liners! Clean and simple looking. I only wish I had time to darken my brows for better contrast and to tidy them up. With all my latest makeup fails I'm actually very proud of this one! This is my proud face.
