Spikeh and Shineh!

So my read-a-thon continues. Hence the lack of updates still. 53 books down in 3 months. If I spent all this time reading educational stuff I think I would probably a ninja robot unicorn computer by now.

This time tharrr be ALEINS! I'm reading the Alien Huntress series by Gena Showalter. I finished the 1st 2 and there are 2 Y/A books written in the series in the middle of the adult books, so I'm on book 1 of that, very short, started it today and I'm at 57%.

So that's what's up!

Makeup time!
I ordered a crapload of Hi Fi Cosmetics including the uber sweet Labyrinth Collection.

Slime and Snails = LOVEEEEEEE. Hell, checking out the description just now, it must be true, because it SAYS SO!: "SLIME & SNAILS is a mesmerizing bluish green with lots and lots of aqua glitter!!! LOVE. <3"

Either I'm psychic, or ya just gotta take our words for it.

Burberry Trench all over the rest to make sure no FPE was still working it's foiling action.

M93-B individual lashes on the lower outside corners. I ended up pulling them off after because my glue sucked and stayed tacky and tried to keep gluing the upper ones to the lower ones.
These are really cool and you get 24 of them in a pack so if you re-use them they'll last FOOOO EVAAAAA :)

So you can see how much Slime and Snails pretty much rocks my Spongebob socks, but I did find a downside. The blue glitter! I love glitter and the FPE did a good job of keeping most of it on my eyelid and it looked cool but the couple of flyaway ones that got into my eye, I felt those SOB's. I thought it was the lashes, but once I got the glitter out, the annoyance went away.

Yellow/Purple/Pixiwoo remake

Just when I think I'm getting better I pop in my memory card, crop and blow up pics and voila! Messy blending, uneven lines, and some skipping in the dark shadows where the primer holds on too much and refuses to budge.

SO DAMN FRUSTRATING!

It's a good thing I don't like people in my personal space so I never have them get close enough to me to notice these things lol

I was waiting at the bus last week and was on a 2 person seat, this woman comes in the shelter, plops her stuff on the empty seat and STANDS IN FRONT OF ME! What!?!

I was trying to read American Psycho but couldn't pay attention because her damn ass was right in front of my face, and she did that loud throat clearing thing that people do instead of just coughing, because you know throat clearing every 30 seconds is way more effective than just coughing once.

There's my weekend ramble. People who invade personal space suck. Like sitting in a dirty shelter didn't feel uncomfortable enough!


Oh well, now that that's out of my system, here's a look I did yesterday.

I was trying to recreate a look Pixiwoo did back in January. I didn't have her colours so I used what I did have. SUGARPILL!! And Wet n Wild. OooO You thought it was going to be an inexpensive look ehhh? Nahh, I dug out some Burberry for the higlight because it's a perfect nude. I've even made a bit of an indent on it, marring it's beautiful plaid surface :( I can't remember the last time I indented a shadow!

One of those "looked better in real life" FOTDs

A problem with me loving stuff with awesome shimmers and sparkles, is the camera doesn't pick them up well and then in the pics it just looks booooring. This look wasn't boring though in real life. More neutral than usual but with greeny gold sparkly shimmer awesomeness.
Like MAC's Black Line pearlglide eyeliner, it's crazy shimmery as you can see in the swatch here but in these pics, you can barely see the shimmer in my lower lash line.

Shimmery Neutral

What up

I had to do my makeup fast because the store we wanted to go to closed at 6 and it was 4:30 when I started painting meh face.

Turquiose and red are 2 shades I have out because I wanna try that combo again but those 2 colours need time, and that I didn't have. So neutrals won!

I used Aromaleigh and my new Burberry Trench.

It turned out pretty neat, my browns-loving mom would be proud :D

Liner: Physicians Formula glam somethingorother for Brunettes in Black shimmer (this stuff looked just black in the pot but when I swiped, it had all these awesome copper sparkles in it!)

Undereyes: MAC Select Moisturecover concealer in NW20
Aromaleigh Coquille powder Nectarine dusted on top. If I don't use powder, this stuff settles in lines and I look wonderfully cakey. Also Nectarine adds more light and slight sparkles so I look more awake anyways :)

And there you have it! I haven't shown my fulll head in awhile. Stress made me zitty yet crazy dry and peely and puffy and I didn't feel like subjecting you guys to that kind of ugly torture. How on Earth can your skin be so frikkin oilslicky on half the face and then so dry your nose peels!?! Hormones/chemistry/genetics, you blow buddy.
