Here's what I did yesterday with my newest Aromaleigh order. It's more subtle than usual (for me anyways) but I liked it! It's kind of earthy looking.

I used all Aromaleigh

Lid: Geogiana
Crease: Avalon
Highlight: Orion

Eyeliner: Bourjois duo effet vert dore (if I remember correctly accent egout on the e)

Cheeks: Mac blush ombre in Ripe Peach

Milani gloss Summer Baby

More Fyrinnae Swatchiness

I swatched 4 more lip lustres!

I sowwy for being a lazy ass :( I should have had these done by now but the thought of wiping one off and them putting another on and then wiping THAT off. Omg, dryness inDEEDY!

My lil ol blog was mentioned in Fyrinnae post for my lip swatches and I grinned like a dumbass for a half hour straight :D And gained a few more followers from that as well! *Hi there!* Thank you Fyrinnae! MUAH!

Once I do the last 4 I have I will have to place another order to snag the rest of the lustres (oh darn, more shopping pour moi? NO WAY! That's rediculous!) I think I'm half way there though! (Note to Fyrinnae, please don't make any more neato lip colours until I finish my quest :D Unless it's a wicked sweet version of Elemental Fire or Polar Bear in lip lustre form! Oh golds, you make my heart warm.

GREEN WITH AWESOME

That's right! HHHOOOOOOO MAN I LOVE GREEN!

I saw this super pretty painting yesterday that was all bright green and of course my first thought is, "Gee, I wish I had eyeshadow like that!"

Well durrr, I do!

Last night I went through my stash and I found 3 super bright greens. They are actually so close the camera didn't pick up much of a difference on my hand. (Ignore the weird specks, I was playing with the Bete Noire glitters too.)



All Aromaleigh. Far left is Estranged sonic rocks!, top is Coney Island HITC and far right is Cricket L'Orichidee. Estranged is the less glitzy of the trio. Cricket is the most and has a super pretty iridescent shimmer and Coney Island is like a slightly toned down Cricket. All very super similar. If I had known this, I still totally would have gotten all 3 because you can never have enough green!!

So here be meh look today! I couldn't get a decent full face shot so I did a stupid face shot instead :)

I'm unsure if I liked today's look. Yesterday's kind of sucked as well so I don't think I'll post it. Maybe if I want shtuffs to do later :)

Aromaleigh's Sonic Rocks! eyeshadows are currently being reformulated so Kristen is selling off ALL the old stock at 35% off. I grabbed 9. I'm probably stupid for placing an order right away because I know in the past I have bad timing and I have a feeling these may go on the 25% off sale in a few days so they will be 35% off and then maybe 25% off. That's just me assuming. AND YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT ASSUMERS! But yeah. My luck is like that. I JUST finally spent my $25 coupon from the gem hunt because I know you can't use 2 coupons so I thought what's the sense of saving it and then BAMMO, these babies go on at 35% off a couple weeks later, no coupon needed. Yup. Bad timing me. And for some reason that whole order I made doesn't show up in my order history either. But this is just me being a big ol' whiny baby face :P

In December, when the rocks! went on sale at 50% off I grabbed all the colours I didn't have yet and was intrigued by Peek-a-boo. It's a very odd colour I have never seen in a shadow! It's a pastel-y, pale orangey, peachy, nude colour. The site description is: tangerine coral with multi-glow gliitz. blacklight reactive. All I know is it looked frikkin awesome on my hand and I had to grab a full size in case the colour formula changed too much :D

The problem with this colour...what the hell do I pair it with?!? I even asked my mister because I was so lost! Now THAT is desparate.

I settled on another colour I grabbed from the sale and this is what I ended up with:

Eyeliner: Too Faced Turquoise Tinsel

Mascara: rimmel again and again and again......

Cheeks: Breathless with Physicians Formula Pearls of Perfection over top to tone it down.

Lips: Avon Mark hook-up in Peek-a-boo (aaahhhh so now you see why the title.. :)

Anyone have any suggestions on what to pair this colour with? I think maybe bright pink or a bright blue but I really have no idea.

My Nails Match My Pop

Late breaking news! My nails match my pop!

I decided to break out my Konad kit. It's kinda sad I've had this thing for going on 6 years and I think I've taken it out maybe 20 times. One of the biggest pains in the ass with it is the amount of time it takes to do both your hands.

It's not completely Konad's fault, it's the nail polish drying time. Which I got around!!

The best quick drying nail polish I've found so far is Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri. It comes in many shades (including a black and a white!) and it really does dry insanely fast. So even if you screw up your first coat you just have to wait maybe 1 minute at the most and slap another coat on.



Stay away from the dark green shade they have unless you actually want John Deere nails.

As for my favourite polish to use with my kit? It's an odd one, most people hated it but it's WIN FOR ME! Sally Hansen Chrome.
I'm not even sure how long these came out. I think I was 15 or 16 so 8 or 9 yrs ago? I could google, but alas, I be lazy. Now why these if most people thought they were total crap and so did not do what they were supposed to?
Well I shall tell you!



On bare nails or pale polish, these babies DON'T BLEED when you stick a clear coat over top unlike that shit they include in the Konad kit. Maybe Konad changed their formula in the past years but after having 7 super crap, never drying, always bleeding, pink never showing up, shades, I will not give them another chance. Eff you Konad, I will still buy your plates in excess...

BUT! A top coat on dark nails WITH the chrome will still bleed, not the chrome's fault, it's the dark colour not co-operating and that's where the streaking will come from.

I still see these on ebay (although right now some ass-hat is charging $30 SHIPPING for 1 so you do really have to double check buy now price and shipping.) So if you have the kit try to grab a bottle of one of these. Pure chrome or white gold chrome look good on dark shades and go with more colours.

GO CANADA GO

Today at work it's "wear red to work day to support team Canada!" wooooo that's long!

So I tossed on the brightest red shirt I own that just happens to be the Good Charlotte shirt I bought almost 10 years ago! It's SO EFFING RED!

Anddddd I wanted to wear Canada themed makeup. Man it's friggin hard to get creative when your country's colours are just red and white.

I was hoping to have it look more red but when I dropped some Aromaleigh eyeliner sealant into my red shadow it turned more of a reddish copper colour instead. Oh wells.

I used:

UPDD base
NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Milk and blended it just on the main lid part not going above the crease
Stardust Cosmetics in Cashmere Mittens allllll over. This colour worked pretty well with the red because it's like a white with a fine copper shimmer.
Eyeliner: Meow Cosmetics in Tutankhamun wetlined with the sealant.
Rimmel mascara
Body Shop rainbow glitter mascara topper over top the lower lashes

Cheeks:
Avon Mark in Afterglo
Aromaleigh Elemental cheek glistener in Luminary I think... They both look so similar I just grabbed one :)

Lips:
Avon Mark hook-up in Peek-a-boo




It's not nearly as red as I would have liked but oooooh well :)

Frankenmix Deux

Here is a colour I made from more sample baggies.

I had a baggy of Sobe Botanical's Grass colour and I love greens but this one was too muddy looking for me. Flipping through my spare samples I grabbed the baggy of Meow Cosmetics' Marry Mayhem Star and threw some of the green in with it.
I used the mix yesterday!

I got lazy and only two colours were used.

Lid: Frankenmix!
Highlight: That shitty Twilight Rosalie palette. Really the only thing these eyeshadows are good for if they weren't so damn flaky.



And I paired it with my new MAC spring colour forecast blahblahblah in Gold Dust
