Meow Cosmetics Shattered Equinox Swatches

So I've noticed I've kind of turned this into an "ALL MEOW ALL TEH TIME" blog. I can't help it! I like swatching whole collections and I've been stocking up over the years so since I have at least samples of them all, it's SO EASY! The only time killer is waiting for my brush to dry before moving onto the next collection. Daylight is also good. I like to try to sneak in at least 1 windowlight, no flash shot. So that means no nighttime swatching. Which sucks, because that seems to be the time when I'm all gung ho and doing stuff.

I was going to do the Supernaturals or Sunless Sea collections but found a whole stash of Shattered Equinox instead!

I didn't even remember sampling the whole collection. I don't wear many dark shadows so I just have 1 full size from this collection, Deranged. It could have been the name that sucked me in. IT SUITS ME QUITE PERFECTLY KTHX


Also in my stash of samples I found 3 samples of the blushes. I'm missing Delicious Despair and Despondent Daydream which kinda bugs me because that means this post is incomplete. GAH!!

I don't have a good technique for swatching blush so I just smeared my finger on my arm and VIOLA instand magic :D

Meow Cosmetics Neptune's Grotto Swatches

Swatching time for Meow's Neptune's Grotto.

I think these were released last summer and I wasn't sure if they were permanent or not so I grabbed a mixture of samples and jars. It's still there so I freaked out for nuthin'!

This collection is a group of blues greeny-blues and greys. Looking at the jars and baggies a lot of them look similar to each other but swatching them showed me they were quite different.

I messed up when swatching and the bright blues on the end should have been in the middle but I skipped a row when I was painting my arm :/

Meow St Patrick's Day now available

I went to swatch these for you but it seems I only had jars/samples of 3/8 shades so NEVERMIND THAT THEN! I could have sworn I at least had samples of the 4 green shades that came out last year but I guess not. Or they're hiding somewhere. I can't even find "kiss me i'm . . ." and I thought for SURE I had a sample of that.

This is why organization is important if you are a scatterbrained shopping addict like me.

I won't swatch the 3 I have yet because that is just an imcomplete collection dudes. DO NOT WANT! I am kind of anal by now in swatching whole collections. It bugs me to be short a shade or 2 because I feel like I'd be letting someone down when they search for it and only see a portion.

See, I'm thinking of others. I do this sometimes.

Nothing cool has happened lately. I started reading a new vampire series (Jaz Parks) but I'm 1/3 through the 2nd book and I'm so bored already. There are 6 more books and then it ends so I have to keep on reading. MUST FINISH! Or at least skip through like I did with the 4th Twilight book just to get it over with.
I thought there'd be more hooking up and stuff because the covers looked kinda badass and some people on Goodreads list it under "paranormal romance" but it's mostly just a crazy chick with a vamp bossman and a psychic and a gadget guy kicking bad guy ass. I hope this series gets better. 6 MORE BOOKS! GET BETTER AND JUNK!

Meow Cosmetics Friday the 13 Swatches

This post could have been done ages ago but being the lazy ass I am, I just haven't. And peeking at my blog hit search words a few of you are looking for swatches so VOILA! I did em!

I didn't even know Friday the 13th was happening until I saw a Meow update on facebook mentioning the Friday collection appearing again! The code: brokenmirror will get you 13% off this weekend.

Now I'm sure most people would get excited seeing this but not me.

Because I already GOTS DEMZ! :D

The Friday the 13th collection makes a comeback every Halloween and Friday the 13th hence the name! It's the reason I was able to eventually get them all over time and I love them. There are some really pretty duochromes in it including my favourite non-hooker blue, Spell!

Some of the shades act even better on top of Pixie Epoxy so I've swatched a few there also.

I went and snagged Santa Honey as soon as it was released because I knew it would be badass and after swatching the rest I think I would also like Tiffany, Sable, Yacht, Blank Check, and Kisses. Metallic-y goodness :)

And now for my favourite holiday collection from Meow Cosmetics, Holiday Wishes!

I'm not even a neutrals gal but after swatching these last year I fell in makeup love. These shades are exactly what I think of when I picture a holiday makeup collection. Warm, cozy shades. Perfect for glamming up Christmas parties. The only eyeshadow I didn't grab a f/s jar of in this collection was Mirth, the pewter one. My shopping cart was massive and I felt I could survive without Mirth.

Meow Holiday Sugarplums Swatches

I've only swatched the eyeshadows from Meow's Sugarplums collection because I'm not very good at blush swatches. And Ballerina is super light, it would be more of a finishing powder with my skin tone. If you're picking up the shadows, it doesn't hurt to try samples of the blush while you're there.
