Nothing cool has happened lately. I started reading a new vampire series (Jaz Parks) but I'm 1/3 through the 2nd book and I'm so bored already. There are 6 more books and then it ends so I have to keep on reading. MUST FINISH! Or at least skip through like I did with the 4th Twilight book just to get it over with.
I thought there'd be more hooking up and stuff because the covers looked kinda badass and some people on Goodreads list it under "paranormal romance" but it's mostly just a crazy chick with a vamp bossman and a psychic and a gadget guy kicking bad guy ass. I hope this series gets better. 6 MORE BOOKS! GET BETTER AND JUNK!

Yellow Snow

I made it through Black Friday without spending a dime. I was so proud of me!

Moons of Mars

Apparently I hit my 300th post with that last one and I missed it. It would have been sweet to do something nifters for that but whatevz. Lips are cool? 300 worthy? :D

I played around with my new Persephone Minerals again and this time I mixed and matched from the collections, Mars and Sailor Moon

This look was crazy sparkly! Once again I really wish the camera could pick up the red and blue sparkles in Sailor moon and the gold ones in Flame Sniper. It was neat having a majority of the lid glittery and the crease and browbone toned down a bit. I was super happy with this look! But after the pics I had to go back and add a bit more PE to the inner corners and pat some more ESM on, I didn't spread it evenly the first time aparently, so it looked like I had a bald spot hahaha

EOTD Sailor Moon

This look was more vibrant in person, the camera barely picked up the sparkles in the golds and the pink was more KAPOW so I was tempted to add more for the pictures but it would have been too much in real life then.

More swatches! Another collection!

This post is all about the sparkly wicked that is the Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon set.

I'll list my EOTD in a separate post because I took a ton of pictures for swatches of this collection. Also I think I'm running out of picture room on Blogger :(
I think if I shrunk my pictures before posting, I could get more in my posts, but then you guys wouldn't be able to click them twice to megafy them. I leave them massive so that you can see every little shimmer bit in there if you wanted and I feel shrinking them wouldn't do the colours justice!

Oh wells, I will deal with it when I get there I guess.

Enough being a whiny baby ass and ON TO THE SWATCHES! (click and click again to HUGEify them and to read colour names in order KTHXBAI!)








**NEO-QUEEN SERENITY** Inspired of course, by none other than the Neo-Queen Serentiy this another opaque white. This one however is complete with the microfine silver + microfine crystalina white & pale, pale pink glitters. So pale, that you really can't tell there is any pink in there but it just didn't feel complete without it.

**PRINCESS SERENITY** A lovely opaque white with microfine shimmers of gold. Inspired by the princess dress of Serenity.

**ETERNAL SAILOR MOON** When dry this will shift a slight bit towards white, but when foiled like this it stays more of a paler gold. It is perfected by the touch of yellow and pink crystalina glitters.

**RAINBOW MOON HEARTACHE** A deep, gorgeous, dark pink loaded with magenta and holographic microfine glitters.

**MOON COSMIC POWER** A coppery/pink/gold shift filled with teeny sparkles of aqua & pink! Inspired by....okay I think I'm sounding redundant, no? The name says it all!

**SUPER SAILOR MOON** Insipred by both the transformation sequence & the costume itself. This is sort of white with a touch of yellow to it, topped of with red, blue and yellow crystalina glitters ;)

*USAGI* Inspired by her yellow-blond hair, I put a bit of gold into this so it wouldn't be quite as yellow as Minako. It also has microfine golden shimmer.

**SAILOR MOON** Inspired by the pretty soldier sailor uniform of Sailor Moon, this a gold chock full of red and blue microfine glitters.

**MOON CRYSTAL POWER** A shift from pink to gold, leaning more on the pink side when foiled. I'm sure you already guessed the inspiration for this :) This also has a little dose of red & white crystalina glitters.

**STARLIGHT HONEYMOON THERAPY KISS** OOOh what a pretty pink...complete with white ultra crystalina glitters that reflect like a rainbow ;)

**MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK** A bright blue shade with different kinds of sparklies in shades of white, pink and aqua.

**SILVER MOON CRYSTAL POWER KISS** I know, I know the attack is called silver moon, but when she performs this you see more deep blue than anything with touches of gold. That being said, this just that. A deep blue color, with microfine glitters in white, gold & silver. I had to throw the silver in there for namesake.

Eternal Sailor Moon is one of the prettiest damn eyeshadows I now own. Pink Sparkles!

I ran out of forearm space so that was in my wrist tattoo incase you thought I was a bit nutty for sharpie stars around my swatches :) Nope, that sucker is permanent! And sadly, very uneven and disappointing. That's what you get for getting tattoos from a guy who looks like a sketchy cross between a chipmunk and the lucky charms dude. Lesson learned.

I patted it over Pixie Epoxy to make the sparkles not fly away.

KITTEHS ON TEH SAND DUNE!

I did an EOTD using Meow Cosmetics.

The Mummy was playing on TV a few days ago so I had Egyptian golds on the mind. One day I'll attempt Anck-Su-Namun's awesome gold and black look but for now metallic gold and green is the name of the game.

I call this look:

Also, Meow released 4 new St Patrick's Day shades. I wasn't going to get any, I got 2 last year, but I noticed they were a couple $$ less than the usual new releases, and greens usually look good on brown eyes...

AND! Remember, Get Lucky is the same tone green MAC's discontinued Warm Chill (Cool Heat collection) was, it just doesn't have the slight golden sheen on top, and it's more pigmented.

Glamour Doll Eyes

There are all sorts of reasons I hadn't placed an order from Glamour Doll Eyes sooner. I've known about the company for awhile now, but the amount of unblended shades always threw me off.

The unblended shades are marked with an * but I think if you have someone colour blind (not literally of course) they'll just go barreling in buying up what they can not knowing these shades are available elsewhere. Kinda like I did with Lime Crime glitter. Big fail on my part, and GDE's prices weren't jacked up to $12 either, so right there, GDE is already better than that place. And Lime Crime's repacked stuff was never marked or admitted even. Say what you want with the shadows that still exist but the glitter WAS repacked. She didn't have a magical unicorn shitting glitter out back. But this isn't about that sort of evil... I'm still angered that I went way off topic here, but this could also explain why I'm hesitant when I do see re-packed items.

A while back I clicked on the full size jars on GDE's site and out of the top 10 best sellers, only 1 was unique to GDE, Tattooed. I know it's not their fault if people chose one colour over another, but I still found it odd.

I think to make it perfectly clear that the shades are not unique, it would be an awesome idea to make them a separate link like her Twi-shadows and 80's Child shadows.

Doing a google search for Dino Spotz (youtube "guru" in header goes on and on about it) I found someone gushing on how unique this colour was. I know I've seen this shade before and going back to GDE, it is a shade with the *. So I know right there, people have no idea what unblended means, or that they can get this shade elsewhere if they really do think this shade is unique. A video using this colour even says "unique" in the video name. And a commentor says the colour is close to an Urban Decay shade and the guru says "But the bonus is that Dinospotz is 6 dollars and UD is like 22 here"
I think the bigger bonus is that it's $1.50 from TKB but whatever.

And popping through my mega makeup cart I did find I already had this shade. I bought it from Aromaleigh, back when Kristen decided to get rid of all the pure hues (which did have it's own section, and clearly said, they were not her creations) It was called Cocoa Mauve.



I do feel a bit silly having 2 jars now, I can't believe I forgot I had it already :/

But I got this shade in the "Natasha" tower stack.

In the stack were Oddity, a green shade, Trophy Wife, a repacked but often gushed about gold, Pistol Pistol, a cool sparkly grey that's not re-packed, and Dino Spotz.

I only paid about $11, I bought it through Phyrra's affiliate link when there was a sale on making everything %15 off to re-do labels. A sale was the only way I was going to order 50% re-packs but happy I did, so now I know.

And basic math made me smirk a little inside. 10% off an item that is already %15 off doesn't not make said item 25% off.



Ummm, no. I graduated with a 52% in math, and if I could see the error in this, it's not right! They were eventually marked down to an actual 25% off, but the update is still on the fb page and nobody else noticed the flaw.

I can see Vanessa is trying to improve GDE by her 80's Child collection, these shadows are all GDE's creations



So muy excellente there.

The other reason I'm not too fond, the overuse of "gurus" on the main page or in my order. 3 cards and a sticker with some chicks face on it I do not know. I know 1 card was Vanessa herself so I didn't mind, but I don't much care for the others. Unless Phyrra was on a card. Cuz Phyrra is awesome and deserves cards EBERWHERE! On the site though? 7 people! And one I'm not too fond of (not the chickie in the header, although I do know some people don't like her) I'm talking about the other Canuck on the page.

I know it has nothing to do with GDE or her company but when I see this chickie plastered on the from page, yep, I'm gonna be annoyed.

Reason for annoyance? Annabelle Cosmetics (awesome Canadian company) held an "Ultimate Makeup Junkie" contest. Some of you may remember, you were awesome possums and tried to help me out with votes. My big irkness, youtubers seemed to bank the most votes because they were more widely known than bloggers or just the really cool talented gal next door who just loves makeup but doesn't have that extra medium to get it out there and make it known.

Others were peeved as well so I let my thoughts me known (after all, change never happens when you stay silent. I'm not one to stay silent)



I wasn't even directly thinking about her when I commented, she's the one who chose to take it personally. It wasn't a "who can make a better youtube video" contest.

But after that I did unsubscribe. She can take that personally, I don't give a shit. Lose the diva attitude.

But all I've seem to do so far is bitch about stuff, lets get on to the EOTD!

At the moment I do not wish to place another Glamour Doll Eyes order. The 80's child theme is cool but I was born half way through so I'm more a 90's child, so I don't have that bit of nostalgia there.
I would need more swatches to decide. They don't have sample sizes for the collection so I'm not dropping $9 on a shadow that may not meet my crazy high expectations.

The tower stacks are an awesome idea. My shadows are stored on their sides anyway and these fit right in with my AL jars. I would like there to be more unique shades in the towers though and not half or more unblended shades.

But this is all MY personal opinion. If you wish to go and buy the whole lot and love it to death, that's cool! I'm not telling people not to like something, just letting it be known why I'm not in lurve in case someone's like "YOUSHOULDTOTALLYBUYGDE".
