Mashmallow Eggnog

I got TONNES of mail Tuesday and another package last night, I'll post pics of the awesome goodness but I have to leave for work so I'll do my EOTD for today instead! I found a new WICKED TASTIC Yellow!

It's discontinued but if you ever see an Eggnog e/s from Aromaleigh up for sale, I urge you to yoink one. It's so soft, like their Unicorn shade but without the blue shimmer, it's just a very soft buttery yellow.

Monday's EOTD Trying to look AWAKE

Okie dokie smokies! Monday was day 1 of our new shift change. We went from 11am start time to 9am "normal" people time. It didn't go so well for me sleep wise, I decided to have Easter McDonalds and it made me sick to the stomach so I got about 4 hrs snooze time. I don't know why, but in my attempt to look awake I thought neutrals would do best, maybe to blend in so nobody pays attention to how sleepy I really was? Who knows, Dr Phil!

So here's the look. Even my full face shot looks odd as hell. Super forced smile and a bit of an extra chin too many lol

Silk Naturals Meteor in crease
MAC Henna in crease to try to darken a bit more
Can't remember hilight but probably Cashmere Mittens
Meow Cosmetics eyeliner in Coffin. BEST.EYELINER.EVER.STILL.

Claire's Mood Polish

Awesome Idea!
I really wish they came out with more "grownup" shades. Now I know what you're thinking, "Lady you went into Claires looking for grownup stuff, there's your first problem. Second you wear bright on your eyes why not nails too?" I don't know. Something about neon green nails switching to neon yellow nails...just doesn't see right!

I managed to snag 4 of them (sadly they didn't have a single purple, I don't think they got any shipped in, the other 4 weren't even rifled through yet).



Daring/Innocent = Grey
Fabulous/Funky = Pink
Happy/Earthy = Green
Peacefull/Confident = Blue

Out of the 4, the Grey one and the Green one change the most. Grey turns into this odd peanut butter colour that I LOOOOVE. Green turns into a neon yellow that office highlighters would be jealous of.
The bright pink one and bright blue one basically turn into a slightly brighter pink and blue. No biggie.

This one is backwards from what it's supposed to look like, I had my hand in front of a heater so the tips warmed up.


Dontcha just love how lazy I am too take off the old polish :D

They are $5 each, $5.75 CDN (why when our dollar is like 2 cents away I have no idea) but I got them with a buy 1 get 1 50% off. With taxes and crap it still came to almost $20 ($19somethingorother) so I basically got American price with that discount. I really want the shimmery purple one, it turns into a shimmery pink!

You will also need a topcoat with these, they have a bit of a matte finish.

Hopefully more shades are released or Icing brings out the more "grown-up" shades :)

Sugarpill Look without the Sugarpill

So ever since Shrinkle came out with Sugarpill and her "Burning Heart" quad I've been wanting it sooooo bad but kept buying other stuff and sticking myself on that pesky no-buy ban.

Then the idea popped into my head to see what shades I had already and attempt to mix and match my own version of the the look. It failed hardcore but if I kept my eyes open you couldn't tell the botched parts :D Blinking then gave the secret away. Damn eyeballs and their need for constant moisturization.

Aromaleigh Rocks for the 4 close shades:
Livewire instead of Buttercupcake inner 3rd of lid and below lashline inner 3rd
Velvetgoldmine instead of Flamepoint for the middle of the lid and below lashline
Taintedlove instead of Love+ for the end and crease
Blueorchid instead of Poison Plum to darken the crease and outer corner below lashline
Silk Naturals Sprite to highlight

UD Zero to line lashes
Rimmel Lash Maxx mascara

This was INSANELY hard. The red got out of hand and didn't want to wipe clean having the primer on. Then Velvetgoldmine decided to have the gold sparkles on the one eye, not go on uniformly and pack itself next to the red on the outside so it looked like I missed a spot or plopped yellow in the way. I think Sprite saved it a bit, blurring the red edges. GAH!

Pure Silver

K so I'm a liar and it's not actually pure silver, but it's pretty damn metallic!

I'm angered that Mr Camera decided to be extra lame and pull his crappy "oh you're shiny colours are you? Well no pic for you!" trick. I had to sharpen them all just to bring out the metallic better. In real life it looked waaaaay way more awesome. It looked more white-silver than purple and the red sparkles showed up better :(

In the future I will do a comparison of Nectar and Black Honey. Right now I'd say they are pretty close. I have to go a searchin!
