EOTD's part 1!

Oui oui, part un! I have 9 lined up but I'll split them up so compys won't die of pic overload.
I've been slacking, the man is working and not working on stupid days of the week (aka not my hours Monday-Friday) so I've been saddened, lame and lazy and haven't cropped much. I've been taking more cloud pics cuz I'm weird like that.
Anyways, on to the MAKEUPS!

I'm trying my hardest to remember what was what. I think there are just to shadows I'm unsure of, for what I used the last week and a bit.

Here we go!

Here's one I was unsure of what the main lid shade was. All I remember is it wasn't mineral :S

I used:
Crease: MAC Bitter
Browbone hilight: MAC Naked
Liner: Dark brown from the Jane Greens quad.

CREEPY EYE STARING YOU DOWN!

And I tried to copy a pretty look I saw in Cosmo magazine. I'm not sure if I liked it. Of course it would never look as good as it did on the airbrushed model but it's always saddening when that happens.
(ah crapo, the time it took me to type that I burned my popcorn)

Here's the Cosmo pic:

And my little go:

Fyrinnae Rapunzel Had Extensions and We're All Mad Here were the pretties I used:

Those are 2 of my favourite shadows but something is missing! Crease! Or something...

Next up, Avon Mark schtuffs. Living Doll is still my favourite pink shadow ever. It's very similar to MAC's Cool Pink, but sadly, BOTH are discontinued, so I don't wear this one as much as I'd like to.
This look sucked, I didn't have time to line or darken the crease. It's sort of fairy like in the colour choice at least :D

Inner half: Living Doll
Outer half: Heavenly
Browbone: Silk Naturals Whisper

ON TO PART 2! After my popcorn munchage. Burnt popcorn is mucho solid than normal popcorn. Or this bag has gone bad...

My Favourite Blushes

Tis BLUSH TIME!

I was tagified by the bloggerrific SillhouetteScreams to list off my most used fav blushes! (lets see if I got the linkage right THIS TIME!) HOLY CRAP IT WORKS!

So here's my lil arsenal. I didn't think I used so many, but things look way different when you spread them out in front of you! I do have more, but these are my favourites.

Here's the stash:

(avon rectangle name not shown but they're Afterglo and Starglo)

Afterglo looks like it's used the most but that's just because it's one of the first blushes I ever bought probably 5 or 6 years ago now. PINKY GOLD! Wonderful.

And here's the swatchiness!

TOP ROW:
MAC Ripe Peach ombre, MAC Azalea Blossom, MAC HK Beauty Powder Pretty Baby, MAC HK Fun & Games, MAC Mineralize FadDabulous, MAC Mineralize Improvise

Bottom Row:
Avon Mark Afterglo, Avon Mark Star Glo, Fyrinnae Enrapture, Fyrinnae Charm, Fyrinnae Enchant, Aromaleigh Sundaygirl, Aromaleigh Candy-o

Click the pics to see them in their shimmery glory

I think it's pretty awesome that the indie companies' blushes are the WAY MORE PIGMENTED ones! :) You pay a lot less for something that will last for freakin ever!
Pretty Baby is really pale but it's good if I want a bit of colour without trying to be careful not to put too much on.

I'm not really good at pairing the blushes up with eyeshadow yet. I just grab whatever I think is the prettiest that day.

Blue Ice Cut Crease

Today was hockey day so I didn't go anywhere but was uber bored so of course I had to play with makeups!

I got the cut crease urge after taking a lookie at Silhouettes blog

The only problem was not knowing what to use. I googled some looks and I really liked the blue I saw here

Check that out! 2 links in a row! I'm a slow learner... (nope still can't figure it out so I'll put them in this way) http://silhouettescreams.blogspot.com/2010/02/tqttons-subtle-cut-crease.html and http://www.bulletmag.net/columns/aboutface/tayler.htm

Going through my pile o' happiness I found an Avon Mark set of shadows I've only worn once that had a pretty light blue in it. It's no longer available, I bought it in '08 and avon discontinues stuff pretty damn fast. Google doesn't even have a pic and stupid me forgot to take one before putting it away. If I remember I'll throw one up afterwards. It was called Wink of Glam Eyeshadow palette in Blue Ice. There are 5 stripes in it, a medium blue, 2 pale blues that look almost identical, a black with some iridescent sparkle and a pale pink.
I used them all!

For the first time in a long time here is my all non indie makeup company look!

I used:

UDPP
NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Baby Blue on the main lid only, just enough to make it a bit more sticky. The shades were almost matte and I didn't want pixie epoxy to effect the finish.

Then using a slanted eyeliner brush I used the black and carefully drew a line in the crease and brought it out past my eye a bit, not meeting the edge of my eye. I like the space look better than when it meets the end.
It took forever to get both lines even on each side, one was droopy so I had to q-tip the end off and try again. Then using the same shade and brush I carefully dragged the black up a bit to fade it out, but keeping the line solid where it meets the blue. If you fade that line, it's not as intense.

Then I used the medium blue and used it over the faded out black and brought that up a bit with the eyeliner brush (I don't have many so I make do lol)

Once it looked blended enough I used the pale pink shade as the highlighter and carefully blended it into the medium blue.

Then I used Urban Decay eyeliner in Zero and lined the top lashes and carefully winging it out so it almost touches the edge of the black in the crease but not quite and then I lined my lower waterline as well.

Curl lashes, loads of black mascara, filled in the brows and voila!

This one turned out way better than the one I did in December or the red/silver one I did!

Cheeks were Avon Mark as well, Pink Kimono from the Tokyo flip palette from '08 too I think.

Lips were MAC Bubblegum with MAC Hello Kitty in Nice Kitty.

Here's my look!

Frik my eyes look lame head on.

This picture was taken to get a swatch of the lips but I like how the eyeshadow looked in it even moARE!!!

BUNNEH!! We are plotting ways to get rid of Horatio Caine....dun dun dunnnn

My goofball face for BLIX! I was trying to look badass goofy but it looks like a mean kissy face instead. FAIL ON THE STUPID FACE!

Pea Soup

Now I want pea soup. Dammit. Only my mom's soup will do but she's 14 hrs away.

Crap in a handbasket.

Oh well. It's Saturday, cold out, mister is at work and I can't drive so I've done nothing all day but watch TV movies and put away the dishes. I could have washed some more. But I didn't.

I did my makeup today, just in case I got motivated. I wanted to try out my new batch of SheSpace pigments. The jars do make me a little sad that they aren't sealed. From all my Fyrinnae orders, their little sample jars don't come sealed and I've only had maybe 3 get their leak on (and that's out of a shitload of jars) but this recent SheSpace order had almost half of them get leaky.
Ghostly Story was one of them and REALLY PRETTY, so go grab one before it's gone forever. I should have taken a pic of the mess on my hand that it made. Pretty mess atleast :)

So I used:
Inner half: Ying and Yang (not my typo I swears!)
Outer half: Rolled in Opals
Highlight: The Bubbles Made Me Do It
Lower lash line: Aromaleigh hi fi mattes Big Tickle

Blush: Avon Mark in Star Glow

Lips: Fyrinnae lip lustre in Devil Horns

I was a bit upset that Rolled in Opals wasn't close to the picture on the site. It may have had the jar labelled wrong. The lilac-y colour on the site looks amazing and mine just looks like dark blue :(
I tried to take a pic but it lightened it a bunch, irl it's darker still. Just blue. Damn.

This is from the site:

And what I got (actually darker than the pic shows):

Oh well, on to my face! I threw in some super shopped ones because, like I said, I did nothing all day. But play with pictures :D

Unfortunately this is what happens when I don't force myself to smile. I look like an uber bitch. I think it's the eyebrows. And my mouth. I'm not trying to look angry. This is just me, sans smile. Which is why most my eotd's are just of my eyes.
And why people never seem to want to help me in stores...

Grrr arggg, I swear I wont kick the baby...

I Want Candy

I had to take the bus this morning and wanted happy candy colours to cheer me up. I effing hate the bus. Smelly sardine trap with jackasses who don't take off their backpacks and having them shove me over with every single turn.

Rant done.

I wanted YELLOW!!! OoOOOooOO yellow eyeshadow, how I love thee. You are bright and fun and people are afraid to wear you. But not I! I will hunt you down in every shade and finish!

Creepy rant done.

I used Aromaleigh today

Main: Golden Chrysalis
Outter corner: Fanclub
Highlight: Avon Mark Nomadic (either this shadow is becoming old or I am spoilt with so many awesome pigmented mineral eyeshadows, that other brands seem like complete crap now)
Eyeliner: Too Faced in Metallic Mermaid I believe.

It looked brighter in real life. I gots ta get me a better camera.

And I resisted the urge to pair the yellow with my fav bright blue eyeliner and went green instead :D
