Rainbow Cut Crease

You like rainbows?

You like cut creases?

You like caramel apples?

Okay well in this post there is a kind of rainbow, a half assed cut crease and I already ate the caramel apple.

I NOMMED THE HELL OUT OF IT!

A looooooooong time ago I bought 50 Detrivore Cosmetics samples off eBay. It was a pack of her first 50 shades which was pretty sweet! I can't remember what I paid but it wasn't much and the baggies have more in them than any other samples I've had which makes them extra awesome.

As I was looking them all over I decided RAINBOW! Vaccine is such a fun bright yellow I thought it would look awesome next to a bright pink and topping it off with a teal. To make the teal super duper I added a cool mustardy shade to blend it upwards. Yes. I said super duper. CUZ IT WAS!

I used:

UDPP
Inner half lid: Vaccine
Outer half: Sexualis
Crease: Brine
Upper crease: Vile
Browbone: Swine
Lower lashline inner 3rd: Gorgon
Lower Lashline Outer 2/3rds: Dagon
Physician's Formula gel liner

APPLE!

It's been awhile since I've browsed the site but right now what interests me the most is the Graveyard collection: http://www.detrivorecosmetics.net/Graveyard-Collection_c_34.html (which has colours I'm not usually into but they look so soft and pretty!)
And the mattes http://www.detrivorecosmetics.net/Matte-Eye-Shadows_c_11.html.
AND THIS PINK http://www.detrivorecosmetics.net/Malady-Eye-Shadow_p_144.html. If it's anything like MAC's Cool Pink, I'll need a tub of it.

I tried to link those up but blogger is screwing up again. I manually typed in the codes but my preview showed up blank so no winning today!

Vaccine (the sweet ass yellow) is only available for a little while until it sells out so get it here while you can: http://www.detrivorecosmetics.net/Vaccine-Ectoplasma-and-Lurid-LE-set_p_317.html

Highlight shades are only $3 and the mattes are just $4. I kind of feel like a jackass for not having full sizes yet but I'll get there :)

It's Matteness! Matteness I Say!!!

All my brushes were washed last night and those bitches took me half an hour! I like to see that my shampooing them is actually cleaning them good when the water goes pink down the sink! And the next day they feel so friggin soft and fluffy. Like wiping a bunny on my face.

bunnybunnybunnybunny

With my just-scrubbed brushes I broke out some more brights! The original plan was to play with my Sugarpill pressed shadows which I STILL haven't used since I bought them on Black Friday (I KNOW! WTF IS WRONG WITH ME!?!) but instead I grabbed Aromaleigh's Hi-Fi Mattes.

I wasn't a huge matte fan until I grabbed these dudes. This collection was also one of the first collections I hit "buy all" to. (Holiday Blast was the other I believe) I bought them when Kristen had a different 50% off dealio around Christmas 2009.

It was thanks to this collection I started giving neutral mattes a second chance as well.
BFTE has a whole schwackload of mattes I'd love to hit up one day. Anyone know if their sample jars hold less than Fyrinnae's minis?

I'LL STOP RAMBLING!!

I used:

TFSI
Inner corner: Winter White by the now-defunct Stardust cosmetics
Rest of lid: Cat's Pajamas
Crease: Supermurgatroid (AWESOME! I have no idea why I only just unstickered the sifter today, I should have hit this up AGES ago!)
Browbone: Fyrinnae Finnegan's Wake (Frick I'm gonna need a full jar of this if I keep on using it so often!)
Liner: Physicians Formula Brown Eyes Glam Shimmer somethingorother blackness with sparkles and such.

I skipped any lower liners because red below probably would have made me look like a was sniffing cat fur all day. Black liner (MAC Black Line) smudged might have worked okay, but I really liked how this worked without liners! Clean and simple looking. I only wish I had time to darken my brows for better contrast and to tidy them up. With all my latest makeup fails I'm actually very proud of this one! This is my proud face.

Forgot to post! My 80's party makeup!

So I just realized I never did post my 80's look for my friends birthday last Friday the 19th. I didn't take many pictures, I didn't like the way it turned out.

It was supposed to be an attempt to re-create Tina's look but with the colours switched up a bit.

Half of it was done while I was still at work so I didn't have all of my stash to help me out in a crisis (for example, that damn blue not wanting to bright-ass it up for me!)

So bitching and boohooing aside, here's my lil bit of fail for the day

I used:
TFSI
Lid: Neon Yellow from a basically unknown brand I got totally ripped off from (repacks)
Crease: Aromaleigh Rocks Psycho-Candy
Outter blue bit: Aromaleigh Rocks Purple Rain with Blue Spark on top
Browbone: Silk Naturals Sprite
Lower lash line: NYX Pearl Jade
Black eyeliner Urban Decay Zero

Blush: Aromaleigh Rocks Candy-o.

The bit of yellow under the blue was accidental. I didn't even realize it was there until I looked back on the pictures. There was still a bit of yellow on my brush when I tried to soften the edge of the blue. Whoopsie!

So I went the more crazy bright than everyone at the party, but how the heck was I supposed to know yo? I was colouring in Barbie colouring books for last half of the 80's, I don't remember a damn thing.

On a happy note, I scored a Maybelline Eye Studio quad in Sapphire Siren :D My friend wanted it for the party but doesn't wear makeup much so afterwards, she let me keep it.

Time to go weekend it up now and find me a Christmas party outfit dirt cheapo.

More quickie!

I'm not liking the whole "miss 30 to 45 minutes to your morning due to permanent work time change and your mister is hogging the shower" thang. So this means I can't plan my looks very quickly and can't crop my pics when I do get to snap them.

Even right now, I'm supposed to be ordering my bridesmaids dress but I feel like a douche for not posting anything in a few days lol.

So here's a quickie of Sunday's and today's look:

I used:
UPDD
Inner 3rd: Meow Sand Dune
Lid main: Aromaleigh Party Dress
Crease: Aromaleigh Mutiny
Hilight: Stardust's Cashmere Mittens
Rimmel lash maxx mascara

And today I used:
UDPP
Main lid: Aromaleigh Estranged
Crease: Stardust's Equinox
Highlight: Stardust's Cashmere Mittens
Liner: UD Zero
Rimmel lash maxx mascara

And! Another lip swatch for Marce >> Sobe Botanicals Jack O Lantern on top of Panic:

I Want Candy

I had to take the bus this morning and wanted happy candy colours to cheer me up. I effing hate the bus. Smelly sardine trap with jackasses who don't take off their backpacks and having them shove me over with every single turn.

Rant done.

I wanted YELLOW!!! OoOOOooOO yellow eyeshadow, how I love thee. You are bright and fun and people are afraid to wear you. But not I! I will hunt you down in every shade and finish!

Creepy rant done.

I used Aromaleigh today

Main: Golden Chrysalis
Outter corner: Fanclub
Highlight: Avon Mark Nomadic (either this shadow is becoming old or I am spoilt with so many awesome pigmented mineral eyeshadows, that other brands seem like complete crap now)
Eyeliner: Too Faced in Metallic Mermaid I believe.

It looked brighter in real life. I gots ta get me a better camera.

And I resisted the urge to pair the yellow with my fav bright blue eyeliner and went green instead :D

Gone are the Days of Tickling the Cat's Pajamas

That title is way too long but I wasnt craft enough to shrink it :D

I got my Aromaleigh package of happy last night! Hi-Fi Mattes!

That lighting was crap, it was in my bathroom.

Here's what I did today:
Real Gone on the inner 3rd
Cat's Pajamas in the middle
Big Tickle on the end and into the crease
Innocence mineral cosmetics in Deceitful Copper to highlight (I have no idea where you can order/buy this I only know you can for sure get it at the Chatters Salons in Calgary Alberta)

And a pic of my bunneh. So what if he's stuffed, that just means I can HUG HIM HARDER!

Posting an oldish look with Meow Cosmetics

Here's a look I did a few weeks ago with Meow Cosmetics. I ran out of things to google so 3rd post of the day!

My boyfriend (really hate that word, sounds like jr high.) likes neutrals, so he usually pretty much doesn't like any of my makeup looks lol. But this one he actually liked.

I used:
Friday 13 Skeptic - main lid colour
Friday 13 Supernatural - crease colour (I think, I should have written it down somewhere)
Zombies Skelecat - hilight
Dance of Death Coffin - eyeliner

Coffin is the best mineral eyeliner I've found so far. It's so smooth and you just need a little. It's going to take me a long time to go through the pot but I bought a second one anyway for backup :D

Skeptic was a bit tricky to work with, if you accidently buff it, the pretty pinky shimmer goes away so you have to pat some more on.

I noticed the colours online aren't totally matchy with what you actually get which is why it's important to read the descriptions as well and try samples first so you're not too upset if it's not what you are expecting.
Accident looks lightish online but it's actually quite dark with red shimmer in it. They've even added the extra "Wetlines-RED!" to the description.
Same with Obelisk in the Egyptian Treasures line. It looks like an odd brownish colour, but it actually is a green colour like the description says. Computer screens are rarely 100% for colour matching which is why I love looking for swatches so much. Even when you get a sample bag of something, it may look "meh" in the bag but don't give up on it yet. Actually try it out on the back of your hand. The extra shimmers and whatever else may have been added don't show up in the baggy very well but will show up on your hand (Like I said with Obelisk, it looked quite uninteresting in the bag until I swatched it, then promptly got a full size!)

ummmm that is all for today. bye bye now.
