FIAHHHHH

My attempt at type-yelling "fire". Didn't really work did it?
:D

My moodiness is in like super hyper manic mode right now. The doom and gloom is gone and it's payday and I'm buying RED HAIR DYE!!! YEAAHHHHH. It won't be as bright as a couple of years ago, (and that was it faded a bit and OOOO LOOKIE I WEARIN MY FYRINNAE! LOVE), but I need to safely lighten my hair somehow though, so the red does actually show up.

Okay, back on TOPIC! This is a look I did sometime last week, I think it was last Mondessday...

I yoinked out my SheSpace colours and grabbed fire looking ones. Sorta. I'm not super happy with this look, I just can't do firey looks.

I used:

Inner 3rd: Claim the Stage Baby!
Middle: Fire and Brimstone
Outter bit and crease: Beauty Babe
Browbone: The Bubbles Made Me Do It
Liner: Meow's Coffin

Coffin looks flippin sweet in the last one, that's why it's not my normal angle :)

Meow Cosmetics Feliner Swatches

Hullo there.

I'm a cranky ass so this post has no face! Or eyes! Just some sparkly cuz I'm all grrrr rawrrrr.

I got my Meow 30% sale items today and I ordered a crapload of Feliner samples because I haven't really seen anybody use them. But there are so many on the site and I have 3 of them and they are wicked awesome, so this is my lil ode to the Feliners I guess :)

Here's the HAND! (As usual, blow up for extra awesome)

1st row: Cat Claws, Cat-chy, Lap Cat, Neurotic, Cat O-Nine Tails, Magi-Cat, Tail of Woe, Krazy Kat
2nd row: Lightning, Catwalk, PSY-CAT-IC, Forni-CAT, Catsup, Hellcat, Catostrophic

Neurotic is very much like the mineral makeup answer to MAC's Pearlglide Intense liner in Black Line.

Here's my comparison shot:

Lap Cat is very pretty, it has teeny tiny pink sparks in it that make it that much more fantastic.
I LOVE Catsup! (Ketchup in Canadaland) my camera kinda failed to catch the sparkle to it, but it's awesome, I promise :D
Cat-Claws and Cat-chy are sparkly as well, but my second shot decided to not show that. What a jerk.

Also Tail of Woe and Krazy Kat, seriously, ya HAVE to see these 2 with your own eyes. They are INTENSE and beautiful! But cameras are jerks.

If you wanna pick up any of these with Meow's 25% off Birthday sale coupon: PartyOn they can be picked up here. (Click the tabs for ordering)

Aromaleigh Ciao Italia! Collection

Hi there!

Kristen of Aromaleigh kindly sent me so pretties of her newest collection to go over for you. The collection is Ciao Italia!

I think this collection is very beautiful. Many shades have that awesome rainbow iridescence. If I didn't just drop a big ol bunch o dough on a necessity I would have found a way to get at least 8 of these. They are very vivid and many of these would make wonderful crease shades and liners.

You may have seen the swatches already but maybe there is something you didn't notice that you liked this time around :)

I swatched them on UDPP.

Swatches on hand match up to bag swatch layout:

The black sparkles in Pistachio (sorry for the yellow light, sunset is in effect!)

1st row:
Liquiriza: dark blueish grey
Pistachio: matte green with black sparkles
Mirtillo: dark greyed purple
Bacio: rosey gold ****
Malaga: dark mauvey pink
Tiramisu: dark brown with brown shimmer ***
2nd row:
Rosamarino: Dark silver iridescent shimmer
Menta: light green, uber magical, rainbowy iridescent shimmer *****
Fior Di Latte: creamy shimmery light pink, pinkish iridescence
Lampone: peachy coral, golden rainbow iridescence, green sparks I think **
Melone: dark blueish green, green iridescence
Nocciola: matte dark curry yellow, very unique shade

Amarena: (on far right) pale pink frost. Frosty version of Terpsichore minus the gold shimmer, more white. Still pretty!

3rd row:
Ciocolatto: Olive greeny brown. HAWT! ***
Pera: slight shimmery greenish grey
Albicocca: Matte reddish orange, slight shimmer
Fragola: Cooler toned more pink version of Lampone minus the sparks I saw***
Melograni: Very pretty red with wicked green shimmer. Like Calendula but less IN YO FACE! ***
Biscotti: pinkish taupey rainbow irridescent magic in jar. Red sparks? My definite favourite of the bunch.*******
4th row:
Zabaglione: yellowy orange with orange shimmer and hot pink sparks
Mela: Really pretty dark aqua green. Slightly matte
Fico: pretty shimmery mauvey taupe, rainbowy iridescence.
Fruitti Di Bosco: Intense dark and regal purple, red sparks
Mora: Dark purpley mauve, slight iridescence
Puffo: SMURF! Sweet sparkly light blue with rainbow iridescence

My favourites have the stars. The more stars, the more I lurves them :)

They can be bought if you click on the links here

Any ones you'll be checking out?

Meow Cosmetics Friday the 13th

Well ladies, the next possible pop up of Meow's Friday the 13 collection could be appearing this Friday, the 13th!

It was by complete fluke that I even noticed this, I was going through their site map when I realized I only had 12 of the 13 shadows and I googled when the next F13 was. Just so happens....THIS WEEK!

Sweet! The colour I'm missing is Trepidation "metallic cinnamon hued copper with golden caramel highlights and pink glow". Why on Earth did I skip past this one?!? Sounds awesome!

My top 4:

Spell: "chromatic cerulean blue with green iridecent fire and aqua glow" used in my "Mermaid, not Mimi look"

Accident: "metallic copper lame with a dark undertone and gleaming metallic iridescent fire-Wetlines:RED!" Super hot crease colour. Looks like fire stone in the jar but rubs off black with red shimmer, used here (excuse that horrible crop job)

Skeptic: "this one will make a believer out of you! bright periwinkle with copper and pink iridescent color changing fire
*not for use on lips" used here

Broken Mirror: "shiny silver with green iridescence and multicolor fire" I can't find where I've used this but it's really pretty. I love the green iridescence.

Supernatural
: "golden celadon green with orange/pink iridescence and fire" aka, NOMS. I've used this as a crease a couple of times.

Blow pics up for better sparkle-age

Supernatural!

Accident!

What are ya getting!?!?

Urban Decay's All Nighter Setting Spray

Re-posting because I forgot to include pics of the bottle I was not too fond of looking at and because it's called Setting spray and not Finishing spray. Way to fail, me.

.:~*~:._.:~*~Step 1, voteth for moi s'il vous plait! :) and everyday for the next 3ish days!~*~:._.:~*~:.

On to business!

My face still thinks it's 14 so it is a mega oil slick most days with the humidity and heat, even with powder applied in the mornings. Next month I'm going to be doing the makeup for my cousin's wedding in Las Vegas and I know it's a desert so my first thought is OH NOES! How am I going to keep up all not shiny (in smokey eyes, no less) in a friggin desert if I can't keep me not shiny in CANADA!?

Browsing Sephora I saw Urban Decay has an "All Nighter" setting spray.
I assume because it has "All-Nighter" in the name my makeup should look as wonderful as it did when I first put it on. Otherwise they should just call it Urban Decay Makeup Mist or something else boring but to the point.

The first thing I notice is the price. $29 US/ $38ish with tax CDN. It should turn random objects into gold for that price. But I still wanted to give it a go. I saw some people complain that MAC's Fix + is just expensive water with vitamins added into it and that UD's spray actually has things in it to stop moisture from popping out (yep, that is MY SCIENTIFIC ANALYSIS!) so UD won in my favour to be bought first.

The second thing I notice is the bottle. DO NOT WANT. To me, I think it's ugly graphics and all. It reminds me of one of those late night movies made in the early 90's with saxaphones a blarin'. Ick. But still, if it's the magic it claims to be, I can look past teh uglies.

It claims to keep your makeup "just-applied" looking for 16 hours.

uhhh, sure. I don't see this happening.

I used my MSCHIC Face Canvas primer before my foundation. Here is my skin before the spray.

Here is my skin after the spray (looks a tad bit shiny but it was completely dry and it did even everything out nicely to my eyes) after thinking about this, I do not like the "tad bit shiny" part either. Sure to some it means you look glowy, however, glowy to me just means sweat. Unless I'm only glowy on my cheeks, that's all the glow I want. K, I'll stop saying slow now.

And after a trip to the mall, here is just 4 hours later:

4 HOURS!
What the hell!

I even bought the De-Slick in a Tube with the hopes of calming my skin with the double teaming action happening, but nope. It made it a tad less shiny after a few hours but my Fyrinnae Silica Gel does the same thing, and that one doesn't make it feel like I'm wiping paste on my face and I don't have to work my ass off for hours in order to afford it! So yeahhhh not too fond of the De-Slick in a Tube as well. If something is going to cost so much, it should hold up longer than 4 hours and not be the the same size as a mini hand lotion.

Maybe if you had normal skin these could work wonders. For me, it just pissed me off. I will not be buying either product again. They cost way too much to only work half assed.
Oily skinned ladies, maybe see if you can some how sample before diving in and getting the whole thing.

This is good for if you over powdered your face and want it looking more natural, but don't expect it to make it stay looking wonderful, you'll still need your blotting papers. I still think distilled water will do the same trick and $40 less...

It currently only has a 3.5 rating on MakeupAlley

I'm keeping both in the hopes of them keeping my cousin shine-free for her wedding.

You can buy it here if you want to test for yourselves.

Mermaid

This has nothing to do with the look but I had a dream Dr. Reid on Criminal Minds didn't want to dance with me and I got mad at him.
That's what I get for falling asleep with the tv on. Now I find myself thinking Matthew Gray Gubler is looking mighty hawt-er. I don't know. I got a thing for nerds. And cops are looking fine now too. Way to warp my brain DREAMLAND!
Ok.....ummm....end of diary entry...

ON TO THE MAKEUP!

Today's look was one that looked badass in real life, but the camera made it look more hooker-ish, the pretty sheens on top the shades didn't want to show up :(

Anyways, I used Meow Cosmetics again, cuz I'm cool like that.

I used:
TFSI
Lid: Spell (Friday the 13th) plopped onto FPE
Crease and lower lash liner: Party Crashers (12 Pains of Xmas)
Browbone: Aromaleigh Supernatural Twilight Lustre powder
Upper liner and waterline: Coffin (Dance of DEATH!)

Face was my usual crap Rimmel liquid stuff and on top I mixed 3 AL powders: Parfait with Nectarine Coquille powder and some Lustre. Twas interesting, hid a lot of imperfections but not all but I'm cool with that because the eyes were SO KEWL!

I have to be careful with blues or I could look like I have a black eye, or think about Drew Carey's Mimi or just think I look like an 80's hooker. My mister said it looked like fish scales. I took that as a compliment of course. Coffin made my eyes look super brown!

Oh yeah! cheeks were MAC Ripe Peach ombre and lips were Silk Naturals (whatever the clinique black honey dupe was again, I'll remember it one day)

Ummm yeah some people are going to be severely disappointed if they think this post had actual hookers (guess I shouldn't have named the pics "ya hooker" and "damn hooker" and such. Whoops.) We'll see what the google search engine brings me :)

And to top it off with ROCKTASTICSUPERGALACTIC pose:

Going Bananas!

After seeing this wonderful lil yellow sometime last year when Anastasia mentioned it somewhere (I have no clue where, might have been twitter but I haven't had it that long!) MAC Going Bananas, I knew I had to hunt it down.

Sadly it was discontinued, originally from the C-Shock collection. This was around when I bought my first MAC purchase (I grabbed the last Warm Chill in stock) but I don't recall seeing this yellow at the time.

Then when Ana mentioned it and I googled my ass off, I found out the collection it was from and started kicking my own butt for not visiting a MAC store sooner.

I didn't trust ebay so I just sat here, buying all the yellows I can find to quench my yellow shadow thirst.

But now, IT'S BACK! In the Dare To Wear Collection!!! In my opinion, the other shades in this collection kind of suck, matte texture, kind of boring shades (yes they're bright but 5 blues? Really?), so Going Bananas was the only one I wanted.

I also got my package from Heather's giveaway so here's a look I did using Going Bananas and Hi-Fi cosmetics! And I broke out the felt liner to try to get the super small line job done (inspired by the uberlovely Cinseven) The only bad thing about this liner, you can't get a good end to it. It's like trying to line with a toothpick, it drags the skin all funkified. But it's good for teeny tiny lines if I hold it on it's side and go sloooooooowly.

I used:
TFSI
Lid: Going Bananas
Crease: Morbid Faith
Browbone: Tell Me Lies (OMFG IS THIS BEAUTTTTTIFULL!)
Liner: Joe felt liner
Lower liner: Revanche

Full face! Kinda sucks but whatevs and junk

And I used the "face detection" imaging thingy on my camera. It looks like I'm about to sneeze...

And I almost forgot! Aromaleigh Twilight Supernatural Powder in Lustre is so cool!
At first I thought it was the lame one of the 3 in the set because when I first swatched it, it just looked like white powder. Stupid me forgot DIRECT SUNLIGHT. Holy freakin hell this stuff is amazing. It's like spreading opal powder on your face, so colourful.

If I can, I want a backup of it now...

Here's it on my face, the blurry one shows the rainbow shine better. Ignore the shitty skin itself though.
